Nice selfie.

The original "Evil Dead". The effects were so cheap and horrible, but it's still one of my fave horror movies.

Love the photo shoot idea! I may have to add that to the list as well!

I'm in a similar boat. When classes start back in a couple of weeks my schedule is going to be INSANE (I'll literally only be home to sleep on some days), but I've got a plan to stay on track. Sunday will be "meal plan day", which will be a trip to the grocery store then dividing meals out into containers that I can…

^^ This.

I totally get it...everybody needs a rest day when you're active every day. I guess it just bugs me that it's encouraging a nation of already pretty lazy folks to be lazy. I don't know. I think I need to go eat something, lol.

Checking in to read later!

Watermelon - and of course the local guy who sells the best watermelon I've ever had in my LIFE doesn't sell on Sundays :(

The same kind as this:

I cheat and buy them already boiled and peeled. I'll gladly pay for someone else's labor on this one, lol.

For me a "reasonable goal" is anything that is realistically attainable to the point that I don't get a knot in my stomach when I think about whether or not I can achieve it. I set myself up for success whenever possible because success = motivation. I keep my scale goals very small. While I have a final "goal weight" in…

This is a great idea...definitely a cost effective short term solution!

Thanks! I will definitely be checking this out!

I have a friend that works at a nearby Hibbett's and she's offered to fit me for a pair of Brooks, but they're a little bit out of my price range (read "my husband will kill me if I spend $150+ on a pair of shoes right now, lol).

I've never heard of the lemon helping with anything other than making water taste better for those who can't drink it plain. Your digestive system can only hold and process so much...at some point what goes in has to come out, and ideally you don't want to hold on to more than your body needs to stay hydrated anyway. By…

Mine stays on the counter next to the stove. As far as tips go, when you're weighing something out of a container like a spoonful of peanut butter or yogurt, remove the lid, set the container on the scale, zero out, scoop out your portion, and the negative reading is your measurement.

This Is How We Do It ~ Montell Jordan "Once upon a time in '94!" -- God that makes me feel old, lol

Hey there! You are doing AWESOME! I'm down about 16 pounds as of this morning and have at least 70 more to go to get into the "healthy" BMI range. I seriously considered a career in forensic pathology when I was younger...volunteering at the hospital had me quickly changing my mind, lol. I just didn't have the stomach for…

I'm in the same boat as far as staying motivated. I have to say though...logging in here every day, adding friends, and staying active in the forums has really helped me keep it going! Feel free to add me if you'd like!

I've been floundering in the motivation department for the last week or so, but I think I found it today! I am a numbers geek, so I love keeping up with my stats and seeing the little line charts in my app trend downward. Well, today I calculated my body fat percentage. On July 3rd, I was at 51.4%. Based on my most recent…

As long as the comments don't go overboard or sound like a backhanded compliment, I love them. It's definitely encouraging when someone notices, as long as the comments are along the lines of "You're doing great!" or "I can really tell you've been working hard!" and not "You're looking so much better!" LOL

Are there leash laws in your area? If it were me I would have been PISSED, especially since she didn't even offer to make sure you were OK or apologize in the slightest. I have two dogs...a Chihuahua and a Pitbull. Neither are ever off leash in public -- EVER. And like someone said, it's more for their own safety than out…

I have found with my Flex that as long as I'm walking normally (hands swinging down by my sides) it catches my "steps" pretty accurately. If I hold onto the rails, it doesn't and I end up having to the extra minutes.

My sister and I often have conversations through Facebook's private messenger, usually about our mom and her care. These are conversations that we wouldn't necessarily have by phone because we don't want our mom (who is very easily agitated) or whomever may be around to hear what we are saying. I honestly can't remember…

My husband and I don't "hide" things from each other, but we still allow one another to be individuals. We don't routinely log into each others' accounts, but the majority of the time we fail to log out of our own. There have been many times when we'll be scrolling through the feed for a minute or two before we realize…

Now this makes total sense to me.

I guess the assumption of a lack of trust comes from the fact that I can name at least 4 couples right off the top of my head that I regularly see in my feed that went to a joint account immediately upon reconciling after infidelity. (Nothing is being assumed in any of those 4 situations, btw.)

Reminds me of a guy I used to work with whose wife had him on an allowance and had the bank issue him a Hello Kitty debit card so he'd be less inclined to use it unless it was an emergency, lol.

FWIW, at least for me, the people that I'm friends with on Facebook are not complete strangers. We have interacted in actual life to some degree at some point over the years.

That's too funny. My husband and I got married on kind of a whim, too, and he's always saying "well, I didn't have anything better to do that day." There's a pretty fine line between I can't live without him and dear God I want to smother him in his sleep for me sometimes, lol.
