My bf is pretty cut (you can see lower abdominal veins, the v line, and all his abs), but he's not huge. I like that look. I don't like the look of huge body builders, you know the ones with the bulging gut from their lovely steroid stack. *shudders* I also don't think it's uncomfortable to cuddle someone without a lot of…

I try to keep my carbs in check to keep the cortisol down so my body can heal more efficiently, and I try to keep the calories at or below maintenance. I never feel like eating much when I'm sick. I usually just stick with soup.

Consider that the food is there to heal you if you let it. I'm assuming that you live in a dorm (so no kitchen available) and have the standard college fare available. Grab a tray and plate on your next visit to the cafeteria, take a deep breath and visualize what you want from your food. You want it to nourish you for the…

Yes. This is something I experience with almost everything that pushes me out of my comfort zone, but I just have to think about why I am doing this, and not even present it as a choice, but an obligation. After a while it becomes habit.

I'm grateful for the food I can afford to nourish my body with, and the heat I fill my home with to warm up my icicle toes :)

Sure, add me if you want. I'd love a new friend :)

So I looked this up on google just now, because I sometimes experience the same thing, and this thread came up. Even though it's old I'll chime in here. I can't handle a lot of protein in a meal without a good balance of carbs, or I start getting a persistent headache that can last into the next day, which stinks. I drink…

Maybe they have gained what they needed from this site and no longer see it as useful? That doesn't mean they don't find you useful, but just don't want to go to the trouble of tracking anymore. If they learned how to eat for their bodies and don't need MFP anymore then good for them! Maybe find them on facebook or connect…

Haha! I know that feeling :) It's like an ice water bath of reality.

"You're wrong. It doesn't matter when you eat, or what you eat, it matters how many calories you consume in general." It does matter what you eat, actually. If all you consume is straight up fructose chances are your liver will become fatty, and you will get sick. We all need essential fats and amino acids along with…

That really stinks about being so flustered and feeling off :( I get that. Everyone here can probably sympathize. I know when I am feeling burned out and run down I just switch to maintaining my weight rather than losing. If I don't I usually end up off track and going waaay to crazy with refined carbs and fat and…

I am 25 years old, 5 ft 6.5 in, and 135 lbs. I have been everything from 106 lbs to 147 lbs. I was not cute at 106 (skin and bones and my cheeks started looking thinner) and I was chubby at 147. I have fairly broad shoulders and carry weight in my boobs (and my cheeks.. I have chipmunk cheeks!). I and everyone I am close…
