I eat at Subway daily for lunch. Either the steak and cheese or the turkey. I also drink 1/2 a bottle of soda and a bag of chips. Comes out to under 650c which is my biggest meal of the day but is plenty filling. Before I started watching my calories I was eating 1400-2000 for lunch. (Denny's, Red Robin, Outback,…

1500 until I was within 5lbs of my goal. 1600 now, its spring and I am more active so I bumped a bit.

44 here, started at 230. Last summer I biked a lot, I quickly found that it really did not increase my heart rate enough. I could bike for miles and miles... I just did not really get my rate up enough to burn calories. The bike was doing too much of the work. When I started to get serious in December I got on the…

I would go bonkers if I did not eat back my exercise calories. I enjoy food too much to stop at my deficit goal.

Yesterday was my first day off in a month. I felt so great this morning I think I may take a day every week.

Don not feel bad about your choice. You can always exercise more to cover the calories and you do not need to burn it all in a single day. Last week we went to Outback with family and I went over my daily amount by a lot... and then I added more exercise for three days. It has to be OK to live a little now and then.

Fiber One 90c packs. Very filling for their size.

I have heard rumors of a "runners high" where you start to enjoy running and after some period of time and the pounds melt off. I could never reach that point but I found something similar. As a middle aged male I am becoming reacquainted with my "vanity". I started lifting again and sure enough I found that I felt great…

I am 5'9". My adult weight in my early 20's was 185-190. That was with 6 hours of TKD a week and regular weights. I am pretty sure that if I was not exercising much I would have dropped into the 170s. I am also pretty sure I would have looked pretty skinny and frail! Setting a goal of 200 and then reevaluating sounds like…

Stick to Subway. I eat out daily due to work. I used to go to FF a lot. I stick to just Subway now. A 6" sub and a bag of baked chips is not a lot of calories. (I cheat and have a half a bottle of soda as well)

I use Fiber bars. I was starving with a deficit till I added them to my diet.

I may be an anomaly but I am a healthy middle aged man who has a very "unhealthy" diet. No fruits, no vegetables and a lot of processed food. Despite this my only two health issues are a blown ACL and minor carpal tunnel, neither of which could have been avoided with a "healthy" diet. I found myself 35 lbs overweight and I…

I have not eaten a vegetable in over thirty years.

I have been visiting the donation box at a nearby church.

I eat most of them back. It incentivizes me to do cardio which bores me to death. I am sure I would have more slack skin if I was not on the treadmill every single day so that I can eat more.

Fiber One bar and a glass of 2% milk. Same thing every day, low calories and keeps me going till lunch.

My wife and I went to a movie last month. Turns out Nachos and Cheese is 800c. I had to move a few calories to the next day. Felt no guilt. Decided that as long as the week was all under the calorie limit all was good :)

I love junk food. I am a lifelong fan of Snicker bars. I have replaced them with Fiber One and Atkins bars. They have chocolate and are between 140-170c. For chips I usually try and stick to the baked types, cuts the calories by ~100. I had to say goodbye to Oreos and Chocolate Chip cookies though. No tasty alternative for…
