I can totally relate to you. I too, comfort myself with food. I had to treat my food obsessions like an addiction. Sounds drastic at first, but when I thought about it, it was similar. I also struggle with depression and anxiety. Don’t be too hard on yourself- that causes guilt which leads to emotional eating again. It’s a…

I struggle with depression and anxiety also. I recommend seeing a psychiatrist. Medication can help but is not the answer 100%. I became a believer in Christ about 8 years ago. I have hope and meaning in my life. I graduated with a degree in counseling. God has given me a path to walk. I don’t know if your spiritual, but I…

To the people arguing- let it go- this only destroys your inner peace- we can blame someone else all the time- fact is no one is perfect- this is not a perfect world.

That's an awesome question. I realized when I could no longer keep up with my kids. I am growing older. Also the fact that I may get health problems due to excess weight. I love my family too much to not try to fix this.

First of all... To give due respect to what I feel is the most important thing you wrote....good for you for putting your children first and their welfare. As far as all the things you want to do...don't over work yourself or worry. If u want to do anything in your life you will find a way and time. Don't rush. We think we…

Subway is great, but if you get a footlong sub, it has more calories than a burger and fries. Just like anything, portions are important. You would think you could eat anything at subway. but that's not true. A 6" sub under the 6 grams of fat or less menu is the way to go.

I too have battled with sweets all my life. It is a habit, for me. It's like I have to have it. It makes me feel better. I am currently trying to work on it. I figure I am almost 30 years old, I don't have forever to work on this...I need some support, and you do too. You are not alone on this.
