I mirror everyone else- I have staples that I stick with on a pretty regular basis but still try a new recipe every week or so. The more I stick with Paleo (as I have been off the wagon before...) the more adventurous with recipes I become :) Since it's winter and cold where I live there's a lot of slow cooker action in…

Check the running room www.runningroom.com under "races" and you can search for races in the PEI area :)

Loving it!! Keep up the good work everyone :)

^This. I stay full on fat. (If I'm reaaaally hankering for a snack then I either go for a fat bomb or somthing with some protein in it and that ties me over)

I don't know how I would go back to a kitchen without a food processor (I use it to make my own almond butter, sauces and butter if I can get my hands on whole milk from the farm) That and my good knife set- good, sharp knives are a must in my kitchen!

I wish I was 5'7"! But I'm 5'4" and am at 173 (down 3lbs from last week though- woohoo!). Ideally I would like to get around 135. Feel free to add me :)

Queen- Don't stop me now Journey- Don't stop believing Go Gos- We got the beat Beatles- Hard days night Timbaland- We belong to the music Wolfmother- The joker and the thief Police- Message in a bottle Blondie- Hanging on the telephone (These are some songs that help me keep my cadence in check) :) Happy running!!!

I too have induction/low-carb flu. It sucks!!! But (for me), the best thing to help is to suck on fat bombs (I keep them frozen like candies in my freezer) and drink lots of chicken stock or bone broth - whichever is in my fridge. It gets harder before it gets better, but once you're out of the woods you feel like a…

Bleh!!! So gross- that did not cover up the cat-food smell or nasty taste. Maybe others will find this method makes sardines palatable but not for me. The remainder of non-pickled sardines will be used as cat treats...

What if you did sushi with cauliflower rice? Or mashed sweet potato?
-
Feel free to add me :) I'm always happy to have new peeps keep me accountable and that I can sheer on as well!
-
I'm not new but always open to having new friends to keep me accountable as well as help cheer them on :)
-
Add me :) 28, looking to lose 40 lbs total, and am currently training for my 1st 1/2 marathon (to be run in the dead of winter where temperatures usually fall between minus 20 to minus 35 degrees C. If I can run that and finish I can do anything!)

I'm hitting up the grocery store today for some provisions. If this doesn't work, the remainder of the unpickled sardines will become cat food :)
-
Mmmmm all that sounds delish! Yesterday was leftover roasted chicken, veggies, some deviled eggs and an avocado with almond butter :) Today has started off with BACON galore!! Then off to the grocery store to get more provisions and I also want to attempt pickling/marinading sardines to see if that makes them more...…

So with more scholarly googling, I'm going to try pickling/marinading some plain sardines that were packed in olive oil in the following recipe... - 1 tin of drained sardines - 1/4 cup of vinegar (2 tbsp of rice wine vinegar, 2 tbsp white vinegar) - 2 cloves crushed/minced garlic - 2 tbsp ginger (fresh/frozen, not…

Wonderful! Welcome ksellen1 & vhuber *Just a note: this is a group for Paleo, not specific to Whole30* All Paleo peeps are welcome and while I have no issue with Whole30, I'm more of a Mark's Daily Apple/Primal Blueprint kind of gal :)

Deviled eggs all the way!! (with real bacon bits) :)

Hi you two- thanks for sharing and welcome!

Because I need a routine, people to keep me accountable and I live to talk food, I created an open group http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/101266-paleo-reset-january-1st-2015 (sorry if I doubled up and a group was already created!)

Mmmmm my go-to is usually pulled pork or pulled chicken :) - 1 pork tenderloin (or if going the chicken route 3-4 breasts) - 2 cloves of finely minced garlic - 1 large onion, sliced thin - 1 cup of salsa (watch those labels- salsa often gets sugar added but there are brands that are nothing but veggies/fruit) - 1/2 cup of…

I'm in- I've been trying to keep it up but it hasn't been happening as well as I intended with all the goodies around.
-
Nope- I have the same problem!! It looks like I was attacked by greasy children but it's just bc I'm a mess when I eat....
-
I'm also thinking of trying IF (the scale moves vvveerrrryyy slowly for me too). How long have people fasted at a time? 2 days every week? 3 days every 10-14 days? Not sure of where to go from here (more googling required) but feel free to add me as a friend (we can be fasting buddies!) I'm such a dork sometimes... B)

... You bring bags of freshly cooked bacon to work for your mid-morning snack to change it up from coffee with butter/coconut oil in it ... you eat pucks of fat regularly (AKA fat bombs) ... you make "stink" faces when you see people eating "lean cuisine" for lunches while they cringe as you wolf back 6 devilled eggs and…

Hey Saskatchewanians- anyone in or near the queen city? And of those, anyone running in the hypothermic half this Feb?

Saskatchewan here! B) (our internet comes and goes- here on the prairies we rely mostly on smoke-signals, tin-cans and string networks and if you're really far north, carrier-ptarmigans!)
