I guess I'm just getting sick of poisoning my body with ridiculous amounts of sugar each day, I'll just end up continuing to gain weight (have gained in these 2 weeks), and it's going to wreck my teeth. I want to stop this vicious cycle right now before I get too lax and it's too late because everyday I'm saying 'I'll…

Please see above.

Definitely. It's weird because if I'm angry or upset the last thing I think about is junk food because it makes me feel happy and I don't want to feel happy at that precise moment. I see junk as comfort when I get home though, I actually look forward to it in the last hour of school thinking 'not long now before I get to…

No it isn't even harsh, I agree with you completely. If I had the willpower I used to have, I'd resist the urges like I once did, but I don't any more. I think I'll just wait until these birthday commitments blow over which is a few days anyway. I'll give most of the chocolate cake away too, then I can go shopping for…

Hmm... I DID actually manage to break my binge cycle before, my willpower was so high, and it worked for a few months, I basically came home and ate grapes with nuts instead, until I started going OTT with the nuts and had to cut them out as they started to taste so good. I think I'll try that again though as in coming…

I suppose I do have a lot of good foods in the house at the moment like apples, bananas, grapes, nuts etc so I could always have a health food binge after school, that way I'd be able to eat a lot, I'd end up eating my 5 a day and getting all my nutrients, and the whole 'binge' if you'd even call it that would consequently…

I tried to throw it out once but I felt really guilty even though I probably shouldn't. Instead, I've been giving it to my friends, siblings and parents once their junk food stashes have run out since I tend to have tons of unopened junk lying around everywhere these days.
-
The thing is when I get home, I'm not physically hungry at all, I think I eat junk when I get back as it's what I've always done so it's a habit I'm struggling to break, I also tend to use it as a way to de-stress which is pretty bad. Oh and if I don't eat it, I just think about eating constantly UNTIL I eat the junk so I…

Haha yes it really sucks! I don't think they understand how important it is to me, and since I loved junk as a kid, they think I still do when I don't really! I love the idea of spraying something onto the food, I'll do that next time once I get some junk in my possession.

The problem I'm having currently is with number 1 because I don't get much of a say in the food, my parents do and they insist on buying me ridiculous amounts of junk food when I beg them not to every week. I've told them repeatedly to stop buying me giant chocolate cakes and cookies everyday as I can't resist them, they…

Yes this is exactly it, I tried removing processed foods for a while, then the cravings got pretty intense and I binged like crazy on junk, I'd then binge and restrict all the time and now I have a bad relationship with food. I like the soda idea though, would cordial work? As it's made with mostly water so is only like…

It's also my birthday on Saturday and I've been told I've got a giant double chocolate cake on the way along with multiple fast food restaurants reserved for the family so I DESPERATELY need to get my act together fast and a week after I have a dental check up so I'll probably end up with a filling if I don't quit the junk.
-
yes this is it, I'm like your friend who won't eat much then will binge regularly. But does eating more really help get rid of the cravings? Mine are always sugar cravings so I'm not sure if eating more healthy foods will take care of those, maybe I just need to incorporate some junk into my diet every few days and stay…

I guess the reason my overall intake is low because I don't eat lunch at all at college so I can get tons of extra work done at the library (exams soon), if I ate lunch I'd probably have a healthier intake of 1200kcal or something. I've been eating like this for a few months now and it HAS led to bingeing around once a…

no I don't eat back my exercise calories, I will somehow try to eat more
-
All these suggestions are fantastic, thank you everybody, I will pick some things up when I go shopping tomorrow :)
-
ah okay, I don't usually eat almonds and have never tried soy so I will try and incorporate these into my diet somehow, the milk I use is semi-skimmed.
-
yes from what's in my diary is usually what I eat nearly all the time. I just hope my lack of protein won't cause me to have crazy cravings at night for junk.
-
I will try to spread my junk food out more, I just get anxious that as soon as I eat one cookie for example, I'll have another and even more like I've done in the past so I try to avoid them completely most days. I agree, I do exercise excessively sometimes but it just makes me feel a whole lot better about eating…

On a regular cheat day, I'll only eat fruit for breakfast and lunch so that adds to like 200kcal, then I'll eat what I feel like at tea (cookies usually) and at dinner I'll eat those kid sized pizzas with some fries. Maybe some chocolate at some point. I do the most cardio on my cheat days so 2 hours, sometimes 2 and a…

I'm quite a picky eater and a vegetarian so I don't really eat foods like eggs, turkey, hummus, fish, tuna or red meat. I eat cheese sometimes but rarely (once a week kind of thing) and I eat my 5 a day in the form of apples, bananas, nuts, grapes and carrots, sometimes sweet corn.
-
Thank you for the information. I don't really eat much in case I end up eating more than I burn. At the time it seems enough food but only when I add everything up at the end of the day, do I realise what I've been eating hasn't been enough even if I felt it was.
-
yeah I agree, what I do isn't really sustainable long term

I haven't really used MFP before to log what I eat (usually carry around a notebook where I log everything in) so I just quickly filled in what I basically eat nearly all the time. I don't trust myself in the slightest to eat a moderate amount of junk food each day at all, I tried it a few months ago and I was really…
