I think that diagram is not scientifically correct

thank you all of these great responses, I definitely have to try out a few of your tips! Feel free to add me if you'd like, you're all great

I really like your idea of "weaving major & minor protein sources throughout all meals & snacks" that makes much more sense to me than having a single protein component in any given meal
-
I agree with you about it being easier when you're maintaining. It's difficult to get in enough protein while being on a deficit, as a lot of common non-meat protein-rich foods are so high in calories. I love me some tofurkey tho, on occassion of course
-
Wow, these responses are all fantastic. What vegetables do you eat most often to get your protein? That's a whole lot of protein. I am nowhere near that, but that's really good advice about doubling up at meals

I am a vegan wannabe  I was a vegetarian for a while, just getting back into it now. I love making vegan dishes and make them quite frequently. I don't eat much dairy when I'm being strict with my diet, so I really like having an arsenal of easy, vegan dishes. Add me if you'd like!

Honestly, I don't even care anymore. This whole conversation got way too convoluted. Anyways, happy water drinking everyone!
-
I am excited to try this, I feel very silly now :pensive:
-
but you didn't you say this? "And I have never been one that is satisfied by a glass of water when I am hungry."
-
It was just an idea
-
That might be the issue. You are already eating very little, so you might be having problems because you are not eating enough calories back after your workouts.
-
I know this might be a silly question but...are you compensating for calories you lose during your workouts?
-
It's different for everyone, of course. I can't tell you how many times I've had a hunger craving and instead drank some water, making my hunger go away. Not every time, but it works
-
Definitely on that water train, and definitely in the bathroom constantly

You guys are all fantastic: @april, thank you for the request!! @elnuevo, I have thought about therapy for a while. Has it been helping? Btw I love the picture of bacon on your ticker. So awesome. @pookie I am a foodie too!!! Haha

Wow guys, you're all so friendly! @margie, I'm glad you joined! Please add me, we can get through this together. It's nice having a community of people you can relate to. My weight gain killed my self esteem for many years as well. But what matters is right now we are taking the steps to make change. What really has helped…

I really want one, but I have managaed to lose weight just fine without one. I just make sure the calories I eat back are within reasonable range of what I burned. Ive lost 12 lbs this month, just by estimating :) though I may need one down the line when it becomes more difficult to lose weight/track calories lost while…

Nice to meet another Leigh. Same here, this app is a huge help. I think what was lacking from all those years of dieting was the community. Never had one! Hopefully now things will change.
