  • I love my Polar Ft4. It was inexpensive, simple and I find it accurate.
  • I agree! My heart rate goes up while lifting too. I stay at 120-150.
  • I use the Polat FT4 and I find it very accurate during both my cardio and strength training sessions. I highly reccomend it.
  • Green tea naturally can help you speed up your metabolism. See below: Green tea has long been heralded for its antioxidant polyphenols. But new evidence shows the active ingredient, catechin, may crank up metabolism. Researchers conducted a series of studies in dieters and found that those who went green lost more weight…
  • First off I'd like to say the belly is the hardest part. I have been working out and on a good diet since January and I still struggle from a pooch. Also, its totaly normal to have a pooch of some sort. If your looking for abs, abs are made in the kitchen. I have asked around and seekd help from MFP members and a…
  • I'd go with either the fajitas and don't go over bored on the tortillas and rice or if they have a chicken soup. It's usually made out of chicken broth and tomatoes.
  • Thanks all for your tips & suggestions!
  • I eat about 1,500 calories and keep it all logged in here on MFP. I admit I do need to be better at logging in every day, I'll go weeks and then forget some days, mostly the days I cheat because I just don't want to awknowledge it haha. I eat carbs but from good sources like brown rice, oat meal, quinoa and some whole…
  • Ugh! It's so aggravating. I don't want wash board abs per say, I want a nice completely flat tummy with the outer and upper ab definition. Like, Jessica Biel ;) I don't think I will ever have to discipline for washboard abs. I also have those dreaded love handles that came from heredity... I swear after working at this for…
  • Hello! Yes, I have been weight training since January and have came far with that. I've also done TRX training I run a 5k every Tuesday, warm up my weight training with running a mile on the tread mill and then 15 mintes or so on the stairmater or elliptical. I do full body work outs with extra emphasis on either lower or…
  • Seared Ahi tuna or Halibut are the only two fish I can handle.
  • I would get the large chilli or one of the grilled chicken salads with vinagarette..
  • Try bananas to make them sweet.
  • There is so much you can do with low carb. My favorite with Fall right around the corner is spaghetti squash, ground turkey and marinara. Cut Spaghetti Squash in half, drizzlewith olive oil, sprinkle with salt & pepper, bake face down at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until tender. Use a fork to scoop out the "spaghetti".…
  • Listen to your body. Make sure you are not hungry out of bordem. Eat more foods rich in protein and in good fats. Some of my favorites are lunch meat, cheese, avocados and nuts.
  • I love my protein shakes. However I drink them for my body to recover from my work outs and to gain muscle since I lift weights. I dont use them as a supplemental meal. I'd stay away from any lose weight fast "diets" and just practice portion control and eating in moderation. You can't go wrong with eating more protein,…
  • Go to a running store! Stay away from any of the big box ones like Sports Authority. I got talked in to purchasing a pair of $160 Brooks and my feet ended up hating them after a couple runs and the store would not take them back. I think the gal that helped me was just wanting to make a big sale. Now I am stuck with…
  • What you prep I think all depends on you. You can't go wrong with quinoa or brown rice, steamed broccoli, kale or asparagus and grilled chicken or tilapia.
  • I'm having quinoa and kale ( from costco) and a 6 oz new york steal. Mmm!
  • I think it depends on your goals. Cardio helped me lose fat, especially doing cardio in intervals. I started with walking on a incline and increasing and lowering the speed 5 minutes fast and one 1 minute slow and then worked my self to doing sprint intervals. I do 30 minutes cardio a day and then a 45-60 min weight…
  • I think it all sounds good. EVERYBODY is different in what they need and what works for them. Your getting some of your carbs from "good" carbs, whole wheat... The boars head meat is good stuff... no nitrates or antibiotics. I wouldn't over do it on the pretzles just because of the carb content but that is just me.
  • Female 29 yr old 5'9" 144lbs
  • I've gone through this. It cam be a combination of a lot of things. 1: Breathing: try breathing through your nose and out your mouth slowly and controlled. Try three steps in and three steps out. 2: Eating & Drinking: Try to not eat or drink anything at least 2 hours before you run/jog. You can sip some water maybe 30…
  • I am hungry the ENTIRE week before and for the worst foods. :/
  • Put it in juices. Sautee it with olive oil and garlic. Eat it in salads. Kale chips are awesome too.
  • 3-4 days and I'll do full body. Touch on everything so there isn't a big lapse from when I last worked out a particular muscle.... I do take extra emphasis on one body part at a time.
  • I not only watch my calories but I watch my Macros. I watch my fat in take, my protein in take and my carb/sugar intake. I try to stick to a 50/30/30 % break down, PROTEIN/FAT/CARBS. My meals consisnt of white carb alternatives such as whote wheat wraps, brown rice, quinoa, whole grain pasta and breads and sweet potatoes.…
  • That looks stinkin delicious! I wish I had time in the morning to cook some eggs. I am thinking about making those egg muffins that I see on pinterest. I had a almond milk sugar free white mocha and 1 nature valley oats and honey bar. I'm starving right now though, need more protein.
  • You can try HIIT training, sumo squats, ballerina squats, squats squats squats lol. Also the assisted weight machines in the gym specific the thigh abductor and inductor.
  • Depends if you want to lose or maintain weight. If you want to maintain this yes but if you want to lose then no. You need to create a calorie deficet in order to lose weight.
