Glad I stopped in, some great ideas here. I've used peanut butter and jelly, any number of fruits, or just a bit of maple syrup. It can be quite filling without toast or egg or anything else.

Interesting, never gave it much thought. Great idea though.

Losing weight isn't about the exercise, that is just a bonus. The only thing you need to do to lose weight is eat at a deficit. Log everything accurately and stay under the goal that MFP gives you. Good luck!

Know how ya feel, I just had to log a 3 lb gain. I had a bad couple of weeks. I am back on track now, and you can be too! Don't let it get to ya. You can do this!

I agree it's an all over thing... whenever and wherever food is, there is always a choice. Eat it or not... Dang hard choice too. I used to shop and buy what was on sale and plan my meals around that. Since my journey began, I shop for healthier foods, and still spend less than all the junk I used to buy. I am happy you…

I do not think it is just you. Many people who start this journey have this experience. In part it is because you are more aware now how many calories items have. It is good you are aware of this. Don't let it rule you though. Now that you have the knowledge, make better choices when eating. You can still eat a lot of food…

I lost in the face as well, and in the stomach a little. I can only tell because my pants are way loose. Unfortunately we can't choose where we lose lol Seems to me like my middle is still the same as when I began.... I dunno...

Not sure why it is off, but at least we know that it is. We can adjust our personal calorie burns to account for it. I think that is why most of us will only eat back 50 - 75% of our burned calories. Keep in mind that everyone burns at a different rate. It isn't perfection, but it is a great tool.

I did not do a "just soup" diet, but I did bring soup as my lunch every day for 7 months. I made a variety of flavors and froze them, so I could bring a different one daily if I wanted. It was good and filling, but after 7 months, I had my limit for soup. I am currently looking for different ideas for lunch for work.…

It is a free site, gotta take the good with the bad... I just ignore them.

Pants way too loose. I have dropped down 4 sizes. While I am excited to be able to shop in a store and not just online now, I do not want to spend too much on new clothes until I get closer to my goal.

Think you are looking great. Keep up the hard work.

Yep, I use a cooking spray to help them not stick and give them a bit of a crunch. Haven't made them this summer, too hot to have the oven on. lol There are many different seasoning to use so you don't get bored with them too.

Awesome job, keep up the hard work!
-
You are looking fantastic, congrats on your weightloss!

I usually do on Wednesdays, for no reason in particular.

In response to the question in the topic.... No.

I love myself, just not the poor choices I've made regarding my health. It is easy to judge by appearance, whether we are looking at others or in the mirror. Wouldn't it be great if other people seen us for who we are on the inside as well?

There are tons of crock pot recipes out there. Easy to cook and does not heat up the house. Also, do you have a grill? Can always grill up a bunch of stuff and then just nuke the leftovers...
-
Well put. OP, don't give up. There are people here who will support your efforts.
-
OP, You must have eaten more than that in calories at some point to have gained enough weight to want to lose some.... Many times we don't realize just how many calories we are consuming until we actually track it.... That is what I have found anyway.... I have done just what MFP has recommended and for the most part it…
-
Eat at a deficit... being able to move(exercise) is not necessary.
-
If that is the amount of calories that MFP gave you when you entered your information, then yes. When you have a lot to lose, you can get away with eating what you want, long as you stay under your calories. As you progress, you will start to notice that certain foods are more filling, and more "worth" the calories you are…

exactly what i was going to say.
-
Sounds like what I will need to do come vacation time....
-
Oh yes, they are.... and I don't wanna know how many calories in one... lol
-
Does not sound like enough to me either. I started at 333, and am now at 283. I am 5,4 I struggle with 1960 calories. I cannot imagine only having 1300. Good luck OP :)
-
Not sure if you really wanna know this, but Walmart carries the Zero candy bar... They are at every register... lol
-
Wow I had forgotten about this... good stuff...

You are right, I know I have a long ways to go with that. I did say that I hope I can use what I have learned thus far. I have been majorly overweight for most of my life. (Not everyone here understands what it is like to live this way) I am aware this is a long journey where I hope to learn much more.
