Hi. I just started a couple of weeks ago so feel free to add me as a friend. I think the daily food diary is really helpful. It really makes me stop and think before I put something in my mouth. Sometimes that moment or two of decision making can mean the difference between a good or a not-so-good choice. :)

So good to know 'cause 20 lbs. is my goal, too. I figured it came on really slowly over the course of a few years, I shouldn't necessarily expect it to come off all that fast. Thanks for the reality check. :)

I know what you mean. I saw that 1200 calorie recommendation when I set it for 1 lb. a week, and I immediately felt deprived! :)

I don't have a scale, so I can't do the weekly weigh-ins with regularity BUT really like the idea of setting weekly goals and looking at weekly challenges not to mention being part of a supportive group. If that's OK with you, please sign me up!

I've been saying the same thing, "This is the heaviest I've ever been," for the past year or so. Not sure what clicked, but I finally decided I needed to do something about it.
