I went to Six Flags Great America last year, was assured via phone someone my size would fit (At the time 6', 280ish and a size 18) and didn't fit on a single ride. I've lost a size and a half and I'm terrified to go back.

That's exactly what I do. But if I ever have a question about my log, I tell people that's what I do. The vast majority of the time a question on the boards that has a person logging in cups, means they aren't weighing. It's the natural assumption because 9 times out of 10 it's true. No need to get offended by that…

I've been maintaining the same 5lbs for six months now because of excuses so I know where you're coming from. It gets better.

I unlinked fitbit and MFP because they wouldn't match up even though the setting were the same and it made my brain hurt. I basically just use fitbit to keep me moving, but I won't eat how many calories it recommends because it's a lot higher than here.

Target works for me. Sports bras I have to be careful of how they sit or my back hurts but for real all my favorite things I got cheap at Target.

I alternate between the two. Quest bars take me longer to chew so I feel like I ate more, but the other brand make me thirsty so the half liter of water I drink with it also keeps me full. Totally depends on my calories for the rest of the day for which one I'll choose.

Activity level does not include workouts. On MFP you add your workouts in later. My activity level is sedentary because I have a desk job. I go back and add my workouts when they happen.
-
I'm a fan of that.
-
Just pick one and go with it. I find MFP sets me too low and override it to something higher anyway.

I cook and I bake, but not daily. It's just not a huge priority for me and my lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with that. I don't feel like I missed out on anything because I have no memories of cooking with my mom when I was little. I don't see why it's a problem that my generation typically is less kitchen focused. If it…

I don't know what you're asking for? Drink whatever you want. If it has calories, log it. If you're worried about sugar content, drink diet. If you're concerned about additives, drink tea. Or water. Add flavorings or fruit to water if you want.

When I first started and I thought that to lose weight I had to be hungry I got in that cycle. But I can eat at a deficit and still eat a crapton of food so I really don't have that issue now?

I'm still extremely overweight (like 80lbs left to lose) but I mostly lift. I have lost about two pounds in the past two months but my measurements all changed drastically. I'm much happier with that than the scale anyway. Weights are good for you. Cardio is good for you.
-
There is no trick, you just have to find a way to keep it sustainable for you.

When I first started I felt hungry all of the time. It took a bit to realize the difference between true hunger and habit hunger. I spent a few weeks eating on a schedule so I could learn to break the habit. My brain would say I was hungry because I was used to eating, I wasn't really. I don't have that problem so much…

I don't have any idea what this is referencing but I just want to say I've noticed a theme. The people that tend to be unhappy with their friends on mfp usually are aggressive or stubborn. My friends are fantastic.
-
I found 2lbs per week not sustainable because I lift now. I have plenty of weight to lose and could conceivably have a goal that extreme, but I find it easier to maintain around 1-1.5lbs per week for the time being. Anyone can still feel free to add me, though.

Ah see, I was talking over all and just realized you're just talking about one day. One day won't matter so much in the long run, I think you're fine for today.

I didn't have any disaster dates from online dating but I did have disaster interactions that I did not allow to get to the dating stage. The biggest tell tale was usually if I said I didn't want to meet yet and they flipped out...uh no. I did get ghosted twice after a first date with two different people that I thought…

If you're using the numbers from MFP, then yes. MFP is designed to give you a number not counting workouts. If you found your TDEE and use that number, then no. But with a goal of 1200 (which is pretty low) I'm assuming you just use the goals MFP gave you and you should eat back exercise calories. However, most people and…

Always take the longest route. Make up a route that would be longer if needed. For example, if you need to get something from another room, walk around all of the other rooms on that floor before getting to your destination. Sounds silly, looks silly, but it helps. Walking to the mailbox? Longest route possible. Walk back…

I was diagnosed long before I started MFP. I am not constantly medicated, but I did just start a cycle of sertraline (zoloft) and it makes me out of wack for maybe a week. I've found the biggest struggle is not the medication, but the self talk. And that goes for anyone, regardless of what other issues they may have. The…

I agree. I would also like to point out that for someone with a known ED to say "What I think I look best at" is probably not the best guage. Especially since that number is an underweight number for a woman of your height. If you're unhappy with how you look, work with a therapist of course to make sure it's not all a…

I enjoy lifting but I'm still extremely self conscious about it given that I don't really know what I'm doing, "heavy" for me is really not that much weight, and I still have 80some pounds to lose so I feel like a fatty on the floor. I have a major anxiety disorder that plays into it, and I train with a personal trainer so…

....you are all insane. I hate cottage cheese :( I wish I liked it. Just can't handle it. The texture..-shudder- I put steak sauce on my potato.

If they aren't overweight, and they're active, and the DR has no problem with them, leave them alone. Growing kids need more calories. My brother had to have downed about 4000 calories a day from 10 to 20 and he's a 6'2'' 140lb bean pole now.

Better than what?

I didn't read all the responses so I apologize if someone already said what I did: I have no health issues so it's not so big a deal for me to watch my macros besides that I lift heavy and want to keep my muscles. I cannot eat mindfully. Years of bad eating habits take a long time to change and I'm aware that I *have* to…

Depends. Are you 18 or 19? If so then yeah, welcome, there's tons of great info and people on this site. And plenty who live at home or who are reliant on other people with their meals and they make it work. If you're under 18 (Not to be mean at ALL) you might have some different needs and sparkteens would be a better…

The scale really is just a unit of measurement. It doesn't matter *what* you weigh. If your body is going through recomp, you're losing inches, seeing results, etc., then that's the goal, right? Most people when they lose weight do it because they don't want to be fat, and the scale is on;y part of that. You're progressing…
