  • Almost everything my coworker does on a daily basis: Chewing with his mouth open Talkng with his mouth full Coming to work half an hour early to sit and talk loudly on the phone Calling me "bbuddy" ohmygod.
  • Well, you can't spot reduce. Your body will lose from wherever it wants to. Any workouts you do will help the muscles underneath, but you also won't build any while at a deficit, you'd just do your best to maintain what's there and you'll lose inches eventually.
  • That's a fairly large deficit, and since you have so little to lose, why not consider making your deficit smaller? I had to decrease my deficit because I was so hungry and honeslty adding 150 calories a day, while it sounds like a small amount, has made a large difference.
  • I say no thank you and if I get pressed I tell them to back off. Rude? Probably some people think so, but it's my right to turn down an offer and I don't owe an explination.
  • I'm coming from the other side of it, but my best friend tried for about a year to put on mass and gained about 2lbs while keeping her body fat in line. So yeah, I get it's hella hard. I'm sorry you have to put up with crap about it. The good news is on the boards there's a whole section dedicated to those looking to gain,…
  • Nah, you're overthinking it. Your body doesn't really know what a "day" is necessarily. Just continue on like normal, it won't affect much. How'd you manage to sleep in so late?
  • My bf and I have a knock off version jungle gym type thing? You put it in the door frame and works the same as the TRX bands I use at my gym. I love them as they help me get better ranges of motion on some things but I don't think I'd ever pay for the actual TRX bands.
  • I can't have caffeine anymore because it causes my heart to race and makes my anxiety issues a lot worse. But if it doesn't mess with you like that, it's not really a problem.
  • Weight fluctuates and the scale is not the end all be all. Losing inches is way more important. THat indicates you're progressing in the correct manner. Time is important, as well. You're not going to have progress every week necessarily. It's about sticking to it long term and having the overall trend go down.
  • I got a trial box with different flavors and I have that one. I'm scared to try it haha. I LOVED the lemon. And any of the peanut butter based ones. And vanilla almond. There's only a couple I'm not fond of and I love the texture because I'm a strange person with food texture.
  • I had a massive caffeine addiction before I was diagnosed with my many anxiety and panic disorders. I try to get by without medication as much as possible and that meant cutting down caffeine. That gave me the willpower to stop energy drinks cold turkey. Holy hell my anxiety is so much more in control when I don't have the…
  • I don't live anywhere near there but I'll be there in June and plan on morning runs :) Hope you find someone!
  • I'm glad they took it well. As for the losing weight stuff, you got it. Just remember to be realistic and don't let it overwhelm you. :)
  • "good" is entirely relative. Are you weighing your portions? Are you getting enough calories?
  • First of all congratulations on having the strength to come out. That can be a scary thing. Secondly, what are your stats? As in, how tall, what do you weigh now? Just curious.
  • Depends on what you want to get out of it? If you have knee or joint issues, stairs and treadmill can be very tough on those joint and the eliptical will be easier. For me, I can hit the stairs hard about once a week and I love it. I try to run at least ocne a week, and I never use the other because I can't maintain a…
  • I use protein powder because I'm terrible at prepping meals and I end up short a lot of the time and the powder helps. Plus I have a banana one that makes me a happy camper. Besides that, it's not magic. It just helps.
  • I had to cut them out for about a week and a half before I could handle moderation. Now I still have an insane skittles love, so instead of buying a large bag or having them on hand, I make them fit in my day, walk to CVS, and buy an individual bag. More expensive over the long run, sure, but it satiates my need for sugar…
  • I;ve lost 40lbs and the measurement on my biceps hasn't changed more than about half an inch though I've lost five inches from my waist. Just keep it up, take measurements, and pictures. Two weeks is not really enough time to see a change.
  • Just a question, I see a lot of "quick add 90 calories" and .25 T olive oil but...where are those quick add calories coming from and do you have a measurement for a quarter of a tablespoon because I just have a half or a teaspoon which is 1/3. If you do I totally want one...
  • The advice is to stay above 1200 as 1000 is still too low. You're within healthy range so movement within that range is going to be slow, and that's OK. Your health is about more than a number on the scale.
  • How tall are you? At 178 judging by your picture you aren't looking far from goal. Weight loss doesn't need to be fast. Inf act, it's often more sustainable if it's slower. 4lbs in 3 weeks is killer. I still have 80ish lbs to lose and I'm losing slower than that. But I'm also not miserable about calories because I'm going…
  • My doctor asked me about my workout habits because it's standard at that group to ask for cardiovascular health, there's a big push with it lately. It led to a longer conversation about health and fitness, but since I've always been healthy it had never come up in a different way before. I am going in next week for a…
  • I sleep about th esame but the sleep I get is sooo much better.
  • Nothing wrong with diet coke besides it's nasty and coke zero tastes way better :) It's never mattered to my cravings though I have found myself drinking it less and less as I go on, maybe just because I prefer water now? I don't know. I'm 41lbs down and like 87 to go so.
  • My boyfriend has an artist that asks for deposits. I can understand the thinking, because as an artist they are still putting time into a deisgn that takes away from other work they could be doing. I feel it's fair, as long as terms are agreed on. Tattoo artists often don't make money unless they do a piece, so putting in…
  • Phenphedra? I think it was called that, some variation of the stacker crap. basically it made my anxiety about a hundred times worse, my face would flush and heart race, and while it suppressed my appetite, about four hours after the second pill of the day (given the caffeine content you weren't supposed to take it in the…
  • I would kill to have larger calves. I'm still really overweight but my calves look disproportionally (I butched that spelling, didn't I?) small comparatively. I think it's partially that I have tibial torsion and the lower part of my leg is just crooked and blah blah. But seriously, You get what you get, and you should try…
  • I agree. I'm 6' and was 307 and a 24 at my highest. After losing 40 some pounds I'm still obese. I struggled with the decision to start losing weight because I had spent so much time trying to love myself regardless of my weight that it felt like a betrayal to myself to admit I needed to lose weight. I'm closer to being to…
  • Being so close to goal, make sure you have your calories set at a reasonable amount. I'd say use the settings to lose .5/week or look into TDEE. Also would suggest heavy lifting. As for what to eat, whatever you want, just make it fit in your goals. What are your stats?
