So I'm 6' and I've never dated a man taller than me. I've also never dated one heavier than me. The shortest ex bf I've had was 5'4'' and we dated for years with no issues. I've also got an ex gf who was 5' even, still no issues. I don't wear heels often because I have tibial torsion and it's hard to walk with heels, but…

My bf's family knows I'm calorie counting and losing weight, and he had lost about 70lbs prior to us dating, so they *know* but still are food pushers. I find honestly is always the best policy with them: Just say something like "I've worked hard to lose a lot of weight, and I'm still working. I appreciate the effort you…

I hope this explodes, because I'm bored.

MFP guesses notoriously lowly, especially because I'm going to guess you have your goal set extreme (2lbs a week?). Are you eating back your workout burns?
-
I never used to like it, but my bf has moustache and beard and I dig it. And I find myself weirdly drawn to beards in general now. I think I didn't used to like it because I was never into masculinity that much. I dunno.

I'm on week 3. I also felt it was slow paced, but now that I'm in it a bit more I appreciate the off days. I lift 2-3 days a week besides, alternating between the workouts, and it's perfect for me right now. The running is great and I love the app. I'm just struggling to find proper clothing to keep warm!

You said you dealt with an ED in the past, I think you're treading dangerous waters here and you need to speak to someone. No, this is in no way healthy, smart, or sane. Please, see a professional.

Egg whites, greek yogurt, and I love chicken.

1)No I do not have friends like that because that's not what friends are 2)Occasionally my very fit friend says something that hurts my feelings. Either I say something to her or I get over myself because she didn't mean to hurt me because of point 1. Sometimes things hurt our feelings and the person didn't mean it. It's…

If you got 1700 through MFP you need to NET that amount. The calorie burns are often overestimated though, so try eating back half to 75%.

My scale is a moron and if I don't put it on the right spot in the bathroom it gives me really weird numbers sometimes.

It could be anything from bad form to exhaustion to dehydration to just a bad day. Drink plenty of water, stretch properly, see if someone can check your form, and definitely start tracking food, if only to get an idea of where you're at with it. It'll help, trust me.

Pedometer would be the best bet, maybe test it out to see how many steps are in a known mile if it doesn't tell you miles, and then it should work just fine for you from there, no internet required :)
-
Weight loss is going to be related to your food. If you aren't tracking, you could be way wrong about your intake and if you're eating too much, you won't lose. If you're eating too little, on the flip side of it, you could be failing to fuel your body properly for the workouts you want to get through.

So. Maybe it's different because I'm also a woman but god no I wouldn't date a 19 year old girl and I'm only 23 right now. Last time I dated a teenage girl I was also a teenage girl and I seem to remember a whole lot of drama. Can it work between some people? Yes, of course. But it varies so wildly. Maturity, life…

It took me a bit to adjust to, but I like water. I have a soda stream at home so I carbonate my own water and add lemon slices or lime slices or strawberry slices or...you get the picture.

Get a cheapo pedometer or fitbit?

I thought the purpose of Thanksgiving was to be thankful... My family doesn't do traditional meals for these holidays, but my bf's does. I plan on participating and making the best choices I can, while still relaxing and realizing this is part of life. These holidays happen every year and even when I hit my goal weight,…

Well. I'm 6' and at my highest weight I was 307lbs and a very very tight 22. I got to a 20 by 298 and it took to 275ish to get into 18s...But I also have 18s that still don't fit, 18s that fall off, 20s that I swim in, etc. Oh vanity sizing, how I loathe you./ Oh and in tops for the most part I wear a size 14/16 which is a…

I would also guess that ^ I'm halfway there haha

I'm going for a run today and it's 40 degrees. Sure there's a point where it's dangerous to go walking outside, but it shouldn't be an excuse. Get a sweater? Once you start walking, you warm up. NEAT, is mostly what MFP does (from what I understand, if I'm wrong someone please correct me!)...so basically you have your…

Oooookkkkkkk....so you sit around all day...that's not an excuse to not get steps in. If you have a step goal of 10000 steps..then get up. Go for a walk. That's how you earn extra calories, if you're using the NEAT method...It's not that hard to figure out. Sitting around all day is part of why weight was gained, so change…

I've lost 34 and can barely tell when I look at myself, and it's only been the past couple pounds that others notice. Pictures help me but only if I see them side by side. Height, and how you carry weight totally play a role. For example, I'm 6', so I have more to lose to make a difference.
-
MFP is designed so that you are supposed to eat up to your 1260 NET....so yes, you should eat more. Make sure you're logging accurately, though. (I.e. weighing your food) And since workout calories tend to be over estimated, I'd only eat back 50-75% of what you think you burned.

If you can't or don't want to work it into your diet, you can work on adjusting your taste. If you sip the coffee before putting creamer in, because of how bitter it tastes on first sip, you won't need to put as much in to make it "sweeter". That works for me, anyhow.

Guys, I walk away for a little bit to get some work done, and the thread explodes? My goodness. In my opinion, having been someone with social anxiety issues walking into gyms for the first time....the second you realize no one cares what you're doing, the second everything gets better. I'm 272 and 6', and I walk right in…

My boss goes to 7-11 every day and gets one of the huge cups and fills it...with crushed ice. I'm not kidding. You'd think you could do that at home but she likes theirs. Our coworker made a snarky comment about how if she was really serious about losing weight my boss wouldn't get those every day. Oh the smack down that…

I think I got a lot happier when I stopped analyzing everything someone said or did. I mean, I still get upset sometimes it's totally normal, but I just ignore the hell out of everyone at the gym. I'm easily the heaviest person on the weight floor at my gym by a good 50lbs and I have an anxiety disorder and everything so…

Are you sure you aren't reading into it too much?

So my good running shoes bit the dust and I had to switch to a different pair, not meant for running. The shin splints. omg. I'm going to pull the trigger and get the proper shoes for the workout I'm doing. It makes a world of difference.
