I will be smitten to hell for this but this is how I feel: Love keeps me with you, physical attraction affects what we can and cannot do. I'm going to give you the best me I possibly can and expect the same in return. It's not about how we look as much as how is this affecting our overall health and mental stability. When…

MRATACHIC is absolutely right. Your plan is certainly a good one. Realize that rest is just as important as working out is. 80% of your weight loss and gains will be made in the kitchen. Good luck and keep up the fantastic attitude!

Personally, when and if I get to that last 10lbs, I would just focus on strength training and see if I'm okay with that extra 10lbs or if it's going to make me pull my hair out. 10lbs is nothing to fret over if you're doing everything you need to do and exercising regularly. I'm not sure about the theory, but just be easy…

That the physique I'm striving for is slowly, slowly beginning to rear it's head :)

Started out at about 280, not down to 250 but still have a long way to go! I'm 6'2".

My Man! And yes, I too am quite fond of that number, lol!

Okay, this thread could have been closed after the first dude said lift heavy and do cardio if you want. He was also right in telling you that you cannot spot reduce, as your body decides where the fat will come from first. Any programs that claim to give you a tighter *kitten* and sculpted thighs do not offer anything…

Yes... yes they do. A shirt like that though is harmless. It would have to be far more lewd than that to raise my eyebrows.

Stronglifts 5x5. I do it, my wife does it, and a lot of my female friends do it. Don't cheat yourself; treat yourself. /Thread!

The first one is absolutely gorgeous. They can have the rest.

I like the cut of your jib, ma'am! I wholeheartedly agree and think that more people should hear this message! Speed does not determine whether you're a runner, but the heart with which you put into every single effort! Awesome, now that's BAWSS!

You are not alone in the way you feel and what you are going through. From what you have provided to us regarding the things he has said, he did not intentionally hurt you. He was basically telling you how he felt about the changes you were placing upon yourself. In that regard, I don't know if "forgive" is the right word,…

You look great! As far as weightlifting goes, I would highly suggest a routine called the "startingstrength 5x5" routine. You can google it and easily find information on it. It is all compound lifts so you won't be doing any vanity work. It will build muscle in your arms, legs, back, core, and everything in between. It's…

Hubby... I can't stand that one.

30-45 minutes a week. No vanity lifts. All compound. I leave the curls for the gurls!

It is based on lifestyle. Most people that end up having heart problems and hypertension and other complications due to their diets often eat 5000+ mg of sodium nearly every day. If you're eating 2500 - 3000, but constantly moving your *kitten* by staying active then you have nothing to worry about.

I LOVE thick women. Keep your barbie dolls and fashion models. I don't like skinny arms and your stomach doesn't have to be 100% flat either. Obese is a whole other story, but there is nothing better, IMHO, than a woman with curves. Period.

This right here. End of thread!

Riverdale, GA here. A few miles north of Henry and a few miles South of Atlanta. I work downtown and I am a runner. I've been doing it over 8 months now and would love some 5k buddies or just a weekend warrior every once in a while. I have a slew of awesome MFP friends, but not a single soul that is local! Let's get it,…

I have never encountered a race that stated you couldn't have them, so this is definitely news to me. Good thing I have an android! Seriously though, I would abide by whatever rule they've set forth. As long as I have my 305 with me I'm fine. Good luck!

4 words: Calories in; Calories out. We're talking about energy here. Sure, the body will do a few different things with the type of food you ingest, but at the end of the day that's what matters. Stop dieting because it is restricting and no carb or even low carb is not sustainable for the long term. You have to find that…

This is what I suggest: http://stronglifts.com/stronglifts-5x5-beginner-strength-training-program/ Best program in the world. All compound lifts!

Started last July. I was barely able to job 30 seconds without being out of breath. Even the short distances I went would tire me out quickly and I would be pouring sweat from only a 15 minute workout. Fast forward today and I can consider myself a lover of running and an avid runner. It's nothing for me to knock out 8…

Perfect analogy! My BF is 24.3% yet my BMI is 32.7 which is considered highly obese... yeah!

It depends... If I'm on the treadmill then yes, but if I'm running outside it's a mixed bag. Some days I feel like it and others I do not...

According the the book and the calculations contained within it, it should be twice your RMR/BMR. The science behind it basically means replenishing your glycogen levels so that your body can use them throughout the week if you are following the program AS DESIGNED. If you are modifying it, I'm certain it works, but for…

I went to LA FItness today for the first time with the wife. She was on the ellipticals and I hit the treadmills. I saw about 3 dudes that were basically flexing the entire time and walking around the gym on their cellphones. They would sit at the machines, do a couple of light sets, and just remain there during the entire…

I wrote a blog post related to this a month or so ago, check it out: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/TheAncientMariner/view/fat-flapping-flippantly-in-the-fierce-wind-184322 I was the same way until that light kicked in and I realized that I was passing everyone who I "perceived" as watching me by!
