Getting back under 300. Not sure how I allowed it to go this far but I'm sitting at about 310 right now.

Good job for the gym employees staying vigilant and doing their job. I JUST joined the gym again but ONLY because I see how vigilant they are in maintaining safety standards. I am FULLY vaccinated and I still don't want to breath in the air others have exhaled. I can't prevent it 100%, but this is an easy one. Wear the…

I'm 57 days in and have lost 23lbs.

Also track your measurements and bodyfat percentages. I sometimes don't think I look any differently, but the way my close fit and my bodyfat calipers says something completely different. We didn't put this on in a day, and it's not a magic bullet, but it is something that is sustainable for those of us who may be…

I always do it fasted. Also remember that broken down fat also releases cholesterol into the bloodstream, which your body will take care of. Once you start getting into maintenance, get another test done and see if the results haven't yet normalized. It may mean you're just a fat burnin', butter churnin' machine! I'm no…

I always tell people to never weigh daily for that very reason. I weigh daily but I use it as a tool to remind myself of where I'm trying to go. Yes, it fluctuates wildly but the trend is always down, and only the lowest weight off of the first reading is every recorded. I get off of the scale, move it to another stable…

I would just manually subtract the fiber in the instant I'm viewing my diary. The math is super simple so it really isn't much of an issue.

I'm about 6 weeks in. 18lbs lost. I'm sharper, more focused, and I have this steady energy that's really nice. I sleep better and don't have as many mood swings (which is interesting). Not that the moods were bad, but I do notice that I'm more even keeled. I know it's TMI, but sex has become more pleasurable and when I run…

Personally, I wouldn't make it a habit. Every once in a while should be fine.

Still hurt from previous relationships and superimposed that onto ours. To this day, she still doesn't accept personal responsibility for her actions, and is only comforted by playing victim (the world is against me type). Tragic too, because that rump was super fat. Still, a fat rump doesn't outweigh peace of mind.

You are correct. Your body will process out the fiber since it can't digest it. Net carbs FTW!
-
Agreed. There is a wealth of information and the community is super supportive. Every answer to any question I've ever had was found there. You can't go wrong with it.

The black wisp withers away to the cries of hate reason lost to rhetoric

The problem is that low carb diets do not spike insulin. Carbs do. There is a vast difference between the two. I'm not just low-carbing, I'm moving my body into a state of ketosis, specifically. So there is something special about it, but if I over eat, I'm still subject to weight gain. The high fat content of my diet…

I've often described myself as half nerd, half lumberjack. When it comes to body hair, I'm all lumberjack. It's funny too, because I dated someone that was opposed to chest hair until she got the...ummm... "experience." Now she thinks it's one of the sexiest features on a man, lol! #lumbajacklyfe

I wouldn't use the gym to lose weight. My plan right now is to lose 30lbs before I get back to the gym. I walk about 3 miles every other day or so and am on a very low carb lifestyle. I've knocked off about 14lbs in about 3 weeks, and it's a very lazy sort of process, but I wanted to make sure that what I was doing in the…

If it has to be cooked and is a solid, I'll weigh it after. If it's something like a salad, then of course I weigh everything before since it doesn't have to be cooked. Things like oatmeal (which I can no longer eat as a result of keto) I typically weigh before. So it just depends on what I'm cooking. I try not to be too…

I don't think carbs/sugars make you fat on their own. I do know that my body does not do well with high carb intakes, especially the ones suggested by MFP. My sedentary lifestyle (do to work) simply doesn't give me a lot of opportunities to burn away that excess. Sure, it'll be converted to glycogen and stored in my muscle…

The strips are okay, but they are only measuring excess ketone bodies in your urine, not necessarily how "deep" into ketosis you are. I would use them anecdotally at best.

I'm week 3 and holding strong! I'm the only person on my friend's list doing it thus far. 10lbs down, rocking and rolling! The more the merrier!

I've been doing Keto for about 3 weeks. A couple things to help you deal with the flu: 1. Drink plenty of water. Try to push a gallon through per day if at all possible. 2. Drink chicken broth or a builloin cube in warm water to get your sodium up. The electrolytes will help with the Keto flu. I just put a little salt in…

I think scales are very important, especially in the first few months of your journey. I wouldn't be without mine.

I'm definitely no fan of sugar, at least not outside of reasonable moderation. I wholeheartedly believe that it is one of the single most causes of the obesity epidemic.
-
I do it for the vine. Though I'm not sure why anyone would be hindered from traveling the world and going on weekend tripsto disney because they are overweight. Maybe I'm overthinking it.

Congrats. Just remember that it's not a one off. Sure, there is the wedding day, but there is a lifetime of taking care of your body after that. Lifestyle change. Sincerely yours, The wedding planner.

Feelings of doubt and inadequacy are unnatural. You have to find the route cause of why you feel that way about yourself, your ability, and therefore your progress. Do not look so much at how far you have to go, but rather how far you've come. Good luck!
-
I don't mean any disrespect, but you do not look like you've been hitting those weights hard. Look at your routine and don't be afraid to build a bit of muscle. I'd go easy on the cardio so that you can fill out a bit with muscle. Strength training results can be a lengthy process, but it does work. Good luck!
-
I wouldn't lose anymore weight. I would strength train to tighten things up. Skinny and sickly is never a good look. Best of luck to you.

I don't think the body cares honestly. As long as the calories in are consistent and within the range that you want, you'll be absolutely fine. Back when I started, I tried to micro manage my total intake, and it ultimately did more harm than good. I was over training and trying do all of that extra stuff, dietarily, made…

No worries. Skinny doesn't always mean "healthy" either way.
