Let's Compliment

The gal in the office who's starving herself on 1000 calories and just started attending the boot camp I'm going to. :explode: :explode:

It sucks to keep reminding myself that this is a lifestyle change (albeit I seriously think there is something wrong with me...) and I'm making UN FREAKING GODLY slow changes that will become LIFETIME habits. I've made them on my own, no one has given me the "support" like that in the gym. I'm sure they all think I'm just ****ing around. :explode: :explode: :explode: :explode:

Ugh Yes I'm struggling with what other people are doing....but I had to get that out. I have no safe (ha ha it's not safe here either) outlet. :explode: :explode:

And for the people who say "well work harder, yeah you can have my middle finger" I'm gonna make this stick. I'm not gonna go at it hard because the haters tell me to, then fail when I realize I cant keep that pace up for a LIFE TIME.:explode: :explode:

I just need a word or two to get me thru this moment that "too shall pass"

The good news is that it will pass. Continue to focus on the diet. Is it too complex? Then simplify. Sometimes there are things being snuck in on us that we don't necessarily see. You cannot control what others do, but you can control your circle of influence really well. The better you get at it, the bigger your circle of influence grows. People want what took years in a few weeks. It's not going to happen. Brace yourself but enjoy the ride and count the small goals and victories, because a year from now you'll look back and see just how incredibly far you've come.

    Thank you!
It is so hard to not get wrapped up in anyone but you. I've worked very hard to accomplish the little things that I have, they may not look like another person's success but I have to remind myself they are successes.

I just wish it wasn't all about getting skinny around here. It's how "success" is measured, if you aren't losing weight you are failing. I'm not. I just haven't seen the same progress. Ugh.

    Again Thank you!

No worries. Skinny doesn't always mean "healthy" either way.

I get how frustrating that can be. I briefly worked in a legal office that was a terrible fit for me. The legal secretaries were all fat 30- and 40-somethings (myself included) and one woman did the 17 Day Diet and lost like 20 lb in 1 month and everyone gathered around her fawning over her like she was a Fairy Princess. I was new there and had just lost 6 lb the past several months and was really happy with my own progress, and I certainly didn't think it was a competition or anything...but it drove me batty when they would tell me I ought to try the diet so and so did, because she's lost a lot of weight.

Abraham Lincoln said "I am a slow walker but I never walk back"

Don't let other people affect what you do or how you see yourself or your progress. The truth is, you don't know their story or their struggles... half of them will probably burn themselves out and end up back at square one (like I did)... you're in it for the long haul and you'll take your time getting there... and when you do - You'll stay there.

Slow and steady wins the race. Always.

The quick fix never works... not in the long-term.
