The way I do it is this... I weigh out all ingrediants and add the grams together and then each items calories together. I then divide the calories by the grams and times by 100. This gives how many calories are in 100g. I then weigh out my portion and this gives me how many calories (give or take) I have consumed.

I have just looked on a jar of Hartley blackcurrant and strawberry jam and there is no fat in it. Jam is just primarily boiled fruit and sugar. No fat is added at all. Low sugar jams.. yes. Low fat.. no

I don't have a sensitivity to aspartame. I could drink diet coke until the cows came home if I wanted to. Doner kebab meat however is a different story,my body is very sensitive to that.

I prelog foods if I have prepared then and the rest at a rough guess on an evening for the next day because a) I don't have access to the internet at work and b) I like to see if it is balanced and what can I add to get a good day.. I write down all the actual weights and update on the night.

This is why in the UK the nutrition label also states the calories, fat, sugar not just by serving but by 100g or 100ml. This way it is not really hidden.

I am not eliminating anything. As soon as I do that I want it like mad and end up eating loads. So I eat what I want when I want in small quantities.

As long as you eat under maintenance you will lose weight. The general rule is for every 0.5lb you need to be 250 calories under. So if you maintain at 2250 you will not lose weight if you eat around or more than that. 1850-2050 is 0.5 - 1lb (ish) loss per week. But weight loss is not liniar so some weeks you may lose…

How many calories have you set yourself? What is your gender and height? Are you sure you are not eating too little to begin with? How much do you drink, thirst can disguise itself as hunger.

I like walking. I am fortunate to live in an area surrounded by countryside and only an hour from the peak district. Nothing nicer than a stroll around a lake, through a field or over a hill. I also love swimming. It is great because it is a mixture of cardo and resistance.

Oh no you said it :s Let the massacre commence :p I agree with that though, forgetting all other nutritional attributes; a calorie is a calorie. You can enjoy what you want as long as it fits in your day. Just remember that (for example) 100 cal of grapes gives you more to eat that 100 cal of chocolate =)
