  • How is everyone doing? I just hit the 16w mark. Can honestly say that the queasiness is pretty much gone and I have more energy throughout the day. Nighttime is a different story. I still feel exhausted by around 8pm and usually fall asleep early (I pretty much have the same bedtime as my 3yr old! Lol!). Not too much of a…
  • Welcome, Swan! :) Ashlie - LOVE the announcement! Anyone else have some creative ideas for announcing on social media. We will probably do something in the next few weeks. -Kristi (13w 1d)
  • Sorry it's been a few weeks since I checked in! I will hit 13 weeks on Wed. Part of me can't believe that it's already the end of the 1st Tri... the other part of me feels like this pregnancy seems to be going waaaaay slower than with my first. I am looking forward to an end to the queasiness and possibly a touch more…
  • Ashlie - I know what you mean about when you see only "one" on that first u/s! I know plenty of mamas that have twins, but I just don't know how I would do two at once! :) Glad to hear everything went well for your first visit.

  • I feel your pain, Cate! I'm at 13 weeks with my second, but I feel that this bump is closer to what I looked like at 5 months with my first! I will definitely need to turn to maternity wear a little earlier with this one!
  • Fit & Fab Ladies, I'm really enjoying the 140 conversation! ASearch, I definitely giggled at the timeliness of the NYTimes blog! I've actually been really blown away by how active we all are. Just the fact that we're having discussions about getting our HR above 140 is spectacular... especially when some are still feeling…
  • Wow! You have been a busy momma! Thank you for sharing!
  • Same here. In fact the Dr basically told me the whole HR 140 guidance is "hogwash". She said to keep exercising and doing whatever feels good/comfortable. Her main point was just to use common sense.
  • How's it going? Because of the nausea and exhaustion, I haven't been able to do any significant work outs. However, I've been trying to take some longer walks with the dog and have been able to fit in some yoga sessions about every other day. Yoga still feels great - wondering when I'm supposed to stop doing postures where…

  • I want to rejuvenate this post! Any recent birth stories? :)
  • UPDATE: So... the whole coffee thing worked itself out, Emma. Right after we were chatting in this discussion topic, I developed a MAJOR aversion to coffee! I guess my body really knows what's best. Here's to kicking the coffee habit - and to a caffeine-free pregnancy! :)
  • Welcome!!! I had to push back my first appt until next Mon (I'll be almost 10 weeks at that point). They said they would do the first ultrasound at that time and then I'll meet with the Dr. Wonder if they'll change by EDD too? I've been a little worried lately... We changed our insurance last year and afterwards I never…
  • So far... EDDs: 10/6 - Ameech 10/7 - Lourdes 10/9 - Charlie 10/12 - Kristi 10/12 - Jvezz 10/18 - Siobhan 10/22 - Calla 10/24 - Betty 10/25 - Ashlie 10/26 - Jasmine It's going to be a busy month of October!
  • How are you ladies feeling? The nausea has really kicked in over here! Is there anything you all have found that helps to not feel like you're going to be sick the entire day?
  • Honestly, I'm still in my first trimester and have given up logging just while feeling nauseous. I'm doing my best to keep trying to eat the most nutritious options, but giving myself leeway if I just need to nibble on saltines or something else to feel better. Don't be too hard on yourself. If pre-logging is frustrating…
  • Group of 7 so far! Have you all already gone to see the Dr? I set up an appt for a few weeks from now, but am excited to get in and get this little peanut checked to make sure everything's healthy! Have you ladies already told friends/family? Or are you planning to wait until end of first trimester?
  • Thanks for the reply, Emma! Makes me feel a lot better... The only vitamin that I might be getting close to upper limits on is probably Vit A. I will watch that. I usually drink A LOT of coffee (3-4 big cups in morning, another 1-2 cups after dinner, sometimes extra cup in afternoon). Since I've found out I was pregnant,…
  • Me too! I'm guessing due date is around Oct 12th! :) We had just started talking about having another one... said we might start trying in a few months. LOL. Guess it didn't take that long.
  • I feel your pain! I'm sure it'll be rough chasing around a 3-yr old as I get further into pregnancy!
  • I'm a little worried because I'm not in as great of shape as I was for my first. I'm about 20-lbs heavier (starting weight) and haven't really had a regular exercise schedule for the past year. I'm trying to be more active now (walking, low-impact stuff), but am worried the extra weight and weaker muscles are going to mean…
  • I'm 32, 5'8.5" and currently miserable around 160-lbs. I gained about 10-lbs through the holidays through no exercise and eating like crazy. My goal is to get down to 140-lbs by my birthday in April. A few years ago I weighed 130-lbs while training for a half-marathon, but honestly I think my body is happiest and I feel…
  • Current weight: 162 lbs (after massive holiday overeating!) Goal for Easter: 142 lbs Ultimate Goal: 135-140 lb range I've been extremely unhealthy the last 4-5 months which has led to about 15 added pounds. Looking for some good support to get back to being healthy. Thanks for setting up this group. Looking forward to…
  • I definitely need to try the Artic Zero froxen desset and fiber gourmet pasta! I should have added WASA Crisp & Light crackers - fantastic for use with the Laughing Cow wedges, PB, or hummus.
  • This is awesome... and almost exactly ME. Definitely let my health slide after baby and as a result am about 20-lb still over preprego weight. I'm getting back into logging and the exercise routine and plan to slowly make progress in the right direction. 155 now... want to get back to the 135-140 range. Thanks for sharing…
