I'll admit I didn't do my research when it comes to how many calories I should have been eating. I just put in the initial info on MFP when I signed up & it told me how many calories to eat for my ht/wt & activity level. It started me out at 1400/day & once I lost 10lbs or so it would knock my calories down to even less.…

I forgot to answer this in my previous post. It has most definitly tapered down... I lost the majority of it in the first 3mos. I have been so happy with my progress that I was hoping that my hair loss didn't have anything to do with not eating enough/getting the right nutrients. I want to get to my goal but I don't want…

Thanks so much for all of the input everyone. I'm going to try to get to my PCP next week. I usually don't eat my calories back after excercising because I don't trust the amount that it says that I have burned & don't want to over-consume. I don't see how anyone can burn over 450 calories in 40 mins on the eliptical.…

I would log it BEFORE eating it to see how it will impact my calories for the day. If it's going to screw me out of dinner or leave me with very little I will pass. I pretty much log everything before I eat it so that I know how much I can have, etc. I usually try to think of how long I'd have to sweat at the gym to work…

Ok. I'm going to be one of the mean girls now. I'm "hangry" right now from eating a skimpy lunch, so I don't give a damn. If you have trouble eating 1200 calories you wouldn't be overweight in the first place. These posts get on my last nerve! I could eat 1200 calories for every meal....

It's all in your mind; it sounds like the beginning stages of anorexia. Anorexia is a mind game and is complete torture. It will consume your life and ruin relationships. Please get it under control before it gets out of hand. I know how you feel: It's all you think about 24/7. You eat, sleep and breathe diet. It's an…

I love it... it really makes me push myself harder.

I don't necessarily avoid specific foods unless you consider butter or mayonaise as a "food". Like everyone said, it's not about what you eat but how much of it you eat. Moderation. I keep it simple because that is what works for me. Calories in, calories out. I plan my day ahead of time. Since my husband and son hate…

It's wrong, but I'm right there with you. I don't find "skinny" men attractive either. My husband has a tummy & big, broad shoulders. He carries his weight really well. He's built like a football player:D. When he hugs me I feel safe and protected. I don't want to be bigger than my man lol. I wouldn't give him a hard time…

My all time FAVORITE chocolate is LINDOR MILK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES. It's like smooth, chocolately BUTTER. I just got cold chills. It's amazing lol. Probably something I shouldn't be thinking about though, considering I have 35 more lbs to lose :P

I personally don't like to use my calories on beverages, even alchoholic ones. I'd rather have FOOD haha. I am guilty of drinking a diet soda in the evenings with my dinner. I usually drink water/flavored sugar free water in the am & afternoon (with the exception of my morning cup of coffee).

I have three tattoos... I got two of them right when I turned 18 and REALLY regret the placement of them (one on each of my upper arms). Now I work in an office and have to keep my arms covered up from my elbows up. Only 3/4 length shirts for me even in the summer. My favorite, or should I say the ONLY one that I actually…

It may not be the -most- important thing but it does become a HUGE part of your life. I log everything I eat, with the exception of my ONE cheat MEAL per week. I log all of my workouts. I plan my meals ahead of time so that I can have what I want later. The way I see it, you have to want it bad enough. I've been through…

Take it from someone who gave up after losing 50 lbs and gained it ALL BACK... DON"T GIVE UP!!!! KEEP PUSHING!! YOU HAVE MADE IT TOO FAR TO TURN BACK NOW! You WILL regret it if you give up. 20lbs is nothing, you've got this! You can get that off in a matter of a couple months... what's a couple months to be where you want…

OMG ... NASTY!!!! I wouldn't even want to bathe in that water. How on earth did it get in there :/ ?

Great sense of humor! Pretty face:)

I work in an insurance office... When someone walks in minutes before my lunch break I start to get nervous & I've even told a couple of clients that they would have to come back after lunch because I was "meeting" someone for lunch & I couldn't stay to accomodate them. LOL! The things I do for food...XD

Oh my gosh! I know my husband has felt that way about me, probably does even right now (lol) but I would just die if he said it to me... You have had FOUR children. How dare he say that, even if you asked. Sometimes you ask knowing the answer but wanting to hear something else (or at least I do, woman thing? haha). You…

Yes, the jeans! And being able to go into an AE or Aeropostale and buy a pair of jeans without having to "special order" the big size because they don't carry them in the store...

Dang. That's a touchy subject with a woman... I would just sit down with her while your child is napping & tell her that you appreciate all the hard work that she does and that you realize that it's a 24/7 job being a stay at home mom. Never say that she doesnt have a job or doesn't "work". Then tell her after being away…

I don't eat my excercise cals because I am not sure how accurate the calories burned are to start with! I usually do 35 min cardio on the elliptical 5x a week & the machine says I burn 350-375, MFP says close to 600(which I'm certain is wrong)... So I just log what the machine says because it measures my heart rate. I…

Yes. And when I order my "cheat meal" which is usually hot wings and pizza or something greasy and then order a diet coke. I'm already being bad enough, why drink more calories right???! Even my husband rolls his eyes at me about this one haha.

I know how you feel. I'm fairly tall (5'11") & when I lose weight it seems like no one notices until I've dropped 30lbs or more. As long as YOU notice that is what matters the most... that's great, almost 20 lbs! The next time you to to the grocery store, pick up a 20lb bag of dog food & pat yourself on the back for losing…

I hate weekends too. I myself had 9 beers Saturday evening. Right after a plate of 12 hot wings and 2 huge slices of an XL pizza. Don't beat yourself up over it. It happens & we have to live and enjoy life occasionally lol. The important part is not to give up. It can't be un-done. So move on & try to do better next…

 Wow! That is awesome!!!! CONGRATS! It's so hard but you have done great. Keep up the willpower an good work!
