  • One of my favorites as well... :drinker: I was wondering when someone was going to whip this out!!

  • Just to clarify, I am running against traffic. I actually started out running with traffic and it scared the crap out of me. One, I like music so I don't hear the cars coming and I hate being "startled".. as well as that, I don't trust drivers to see me first. I prefer to zone out but still be aware with my eyes.. which is…
  • Yes! I neglected to mention it in my original post, but that's WHY I included that detail. We were talking about it recently - and we both have the same complaint about the same lady in the same car at roughly the same spot each morning.
  • It's common knowledge that after 7 pm, your cells go into nocturnalia modalis, otherwise known as "nocturnal mode." During nocturnal mode, your body metabolizes every calorie - every morsel you swallow - into fat cells that swell up to FOUR TIMES the normal size of your average fat cell. To make matters worse - as you…
  • What is WRONG with you? First of all, WHY WOULD YOU TURN DOWN such WONDERFUL seats to what was such AMAZING game? And second of all, why are you rooting for such a lousy team? ;) This girl bleeds purple. GO RAVENS!! Also to all you Man U fans ... sod off! ;) I'm raising the next gen of LFC fans in my household. Go…
  • I made cauliflower pizza crust the other day (not because I'm gluten free - but because I actually like the taste) and seeing zucchini crust makes me want to experiment and make my own zucchini / cauliflower pizza crust!!!!!

  • Is it sad that of all the things I thought of, actually calling the police with her license plate never crossed my mind? I've never seen her on the phone or putting on make up, but I also don't think it ever registers to her that I'm there. There's no "acknowledgement" so to say... I look at the face of every driver that…
  • Best. Suggestion. Ever.
  • Losing weight is primarily about diet, not exercise. If you are putting on the pounds, it's because you are eating more than you are using. Sounds like you are eating at maintenance for about 174. Rather than kick up your exercise routine which may or may not last, I would suggest focus on accurately tracking your intake.…
  • Sexypants. It's one thing if it makes sense to share it with the original poster, but I've seen it dumped in response in every situation as if the responding user didn't bother even reading the original post. Help I can't lose weight! Read the sexypants thread. My mom took away my purse! Read the sexypants thread. My…
  • My why started with "to win $100 in my works weight loss challenge and win $230 in a simultaneous challenge"... 42 lbs, 5 months, $330 later I am obsessed. For me, my continued why is purely superficial. I've always had thick legs and wide hips... but I want to see if I can change that. I'm running regularly now and…
  • MyFitnessPal lied to you. 2 pounds a week is unrealistic for someone of your current shape. Change it to .5 or 1 lb a week. Or better yet, determine your own goals. If I were you, I'd shoot for 1650 or so and see how that suits you. I LOVE this link: http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/
  • I agree with everything above and I will say that I personally prefer buying ice cream bars that are pre-portioned (Skinny cow bars are my favorite!) to scooping bowls of "about 3/4 cup" of ice cream because I will always convince myself that I'm eating less ice cream than I actually am. Having one serving as opposed to…
  • I've lost 42 lbs so far, and started running 23 lbs into it. I run 3 days a week - Mon Wed and Fri. My husband runs Tues Thurs and Sat and we both have a rest day Sun. We did the C25K program for 8 weeks and now I'm trying to find the right interval training program for me to continue.. - How far, on average, do you run…

  • I am excited to try this...
  • I'm not an expert on caffeine and what an acceptable intake is because I don't drink more than a cup of tea / coffee a day and it's nearly always decaf, but wouldn't 100 ounces of iced tea contain like 4 or 5 times the recommended daily amount? That doesn't mess with hydration?
  • Is there a free version I could try before I buy that you know of? My ideal app would have random intervals (tell me to run / walk / sprint etc) in 30-45 minute / 2-3 mile routines and also track calories / distance / time, work with music, etc. Does the paid version do all that?
  • I am signed up for one but it's not til September! :(
  • I used C25K free (with the pink ribbon on the icon) and it did it's job. 8 weeks of no problems. Not the greatest app, but I wanted to test the waters without spending money. Now that I'm "into" it, I'm in the market for a paid app to continue my training.
  • Whenever I see someone burning 800 calories doing something - ESPECIALLY CLEANING - for an hour, I feel a little sorry for them. I feel like they are only hurting themselves by deluding themselves. I know a few people who will log that kind of calorie burn when they have a binge day to justify it to themselves. At the end…
  • Wait - tell me about this app! I've never heard of it...
  • If I have ice cream in the house, I'm eating ALL of the ice cream in the house. My only resolution for this is to not keep ice cream in the house. When I do get ice cream, I get the weight watchers or skinny cow bars. Portioned servings, limited number of them. You can do it!
  • I have kids and when I have to reprimand them in the library, I do it quietly.
  • It's common knowledge that the best way to get someone that is in front of you to speed up is to try and pass them.
  • I hate how americans drive on the highway. The left lane is for PASSING. If you aren't ACTIVELY PASSING someone on your right, MOVE THE EFF OVER.
  • Story of my life.
