I was where you are now just a year ago. (See profile pic) I started out with a lot more to lose, and it is daunting, but the key is to NOT GIVE UP. Bad days... bad WEEKS... don't let them derail you. Best wishes to you! Friend me if you'd like.

August of THIS year? As in, 7 months from now? Wow.
-
I've seen that, and wondered about it. Thanks for the tip!

I'm 50 and *almost* technically menopausal. I started last January first and have lost over 80 so far, with a long way to go yet. Definitely harder now than in my 20s and 30s, but I didn't stick with it then when I should have, so here I am! :-)

INCREDIBLE. Thank you so much for your encouragement and inspiration! :-)

Thanks so much for the encouragement! You look great!

That sandwich claims to have 220 grams of fat?? Several other hard salami sandwiches in the database are in the 15-30 range. I think that database entry you used was incorrect. Try one of the other listings for a more realistic total.

Tracking sandwiches? Piece by piece. Track your bread, then your filling, and don't forget the condiments. Do a search in the database for the actual brand name, if possible, and choose the items in the database with the most confirmations. If you have the time, click on the "Nutritional Information" and actually LOOK at…

How wonderful! Thanks for letting us know!

If you could find a low-sugar strawberry jam, or better yet, just fresh strawberries in a blender, you could mix that with the vanilla powder until you have a dough-like consistency. My daughter does this with chocolate protein powder, a bit of honey, and peanut butter, and rolls it into little balls. Then they air-dry a…

My husband came back from the store with all the right stuff!

I've lost over 80, have nearly 100 left. I've been at this for almost a year, logging every day. If I can help, I'd be glad to!
-
Welcome back. Stick with what you know works! I wish you success on your renewed journey.

I have no idea. I decided long ago that Christmas Day was the one day in the past year that I would allow myself to not log specific foods. I did a Quick Add of about 4000 and let it go at that.
-
Very motivating for those of us who have to keep at this for a long time! Thanks for sharing!

I started out with 180 to lose, and I'm almost half way there. I've been at it for about a year, logging every day, so definitely understand the idea of "long haul" thinking!
-
Great work!! And Merry Christmas!
-
When I log my exercise, I do it after I'm done eating for the day as I close out my diary. Then the "extra" calories don't matter.
-
OP, I don't think anyone here will give you the kind of help you want. Only the kind you need.

I started out with 180 to lose. I've been here a year and STILL have almost 100 to lose. It's ok, though. I'm committed to the long haul, knowing this could take another couple of years, and then the hardest part begins: Maintenance! I hated hearing about weight loss from friends and family, probably because I felt judged,…

Ask your doctor to check your gall bladder. Rapid weight loss can aggravate that. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV.

Just out of curiosity, is it on your right side?

Chicken, turkey, frozen veggies of many kinds, Ezekiel bread, real butter, various fruits, and an incredible supply of M&Ms.
-
Can someone translate that post for me, please?

I'm hearing this from so many people lately! I think a lot of people just kind of "stall" over the holidays. That's why January 1st is so popular for starting new "diets." OP, I'm sorry this is a rough Christmas for you. I hope you can focus on the joy of the season, the reason for it, and the family and friends you have…

Your quote says it all, doesn't it? And one thing I've noticed... no matter how bad a place you're in, there is someone, somewhere, who thinks you have it made. Someone who is dying, someone who is in poverty, someone who is in an abusive relationship, etc. We know nothing of your circumstances, of course, but hopefully…

Good work! Your "more relaxed" workout is still better than that of most people.
-
Amazing! Good job! You are inspiring to all of us, but especially those of us who have a lot to lose.
-
Congratulations!!! That's exciting! I hope to reach that milestone sometime in March.

I'm so impressed! Great work!
