My wife and I just saw the doctor for her pregnancy and they said 300 calories more than your regular daily amount and also to make sure to consume at least 80 grams of protein a day. Your doctor could say something different.

It does have a heart strap. I'm starting to think I purchased a defective monitor or something.

My heart rate monitor gives me calories burned but it's about 60-80 calories higher what the online calculators tell me. Also I am using the Timex T5G971 HRM.

I push pretty hard. I'd say at least this morning I was an 8 on a scale of 1-10. I only rest occasionally for about 5-10 seconds. When I do the workouts my average heart rate stays in the range of 140-160.

Maybe you should look at this: The calories you burn come from different places. If I go above 80% of my max heart rate I'm burning 15% calories from fat vs. 50%. UPDATE: The HRM defiantly was having problems yesterday but I think I fixed the problem. Thanks for the information. I am going to take my heart rate manually tomorrow and see if it matches up. The watch I purchased got fairly good reviews for accuracy (Timex T5G971). I guess we'll see how tomorrow goes.
