Insanity Hybrid with P90x Experiences

I've completed Insanity and Asylum but have never done P90x. I feel like I want to do a hybrid of Insanity and P90x.

Has anyone tried this without doing P90x previously? I feel that if I do p90x alone I'd get really bored because it doesn't have enough cardio. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I am in my 8th week of the P90X/Insanity workout. I love it. I am a bit opposite of you. I did P90X and CLX by itself and had some good results. But since I didn't want to lose strength I decided against doing insanity alone. My next workout is the X2/Insanity hybrid. I do think X1 is a bit boring, but I love X2. It may be something to look into. It's a lot more athletic focus as opposed to back to the basics.

Awesome. Thanks! I think I'm going to do the Insanity/p90x hybrid next. I've found different variations of the hybrids. Any particular one better then another?

Peronally, anything that incorporates weight training, flexibility and HIIT, is a winner in my book. Both are effective at cutting fat and flexibility increases strength potential. If you are not a huge fan of pure weight training, maybe do the X2/insanity hybrid or even do X2 by itself. It's much different than the basics and really focuses on 3 main areas, core/balance, strength and power. I think these workouts go a bit faster and are more technical than X1 which I love. I guess it's the WT equivalent to asylum. If you dont' feel you have the basic, than X1/insanity would be the way I go. If you don't want insanity, you could do CLX (I cut 3% body fat with an OK diet here).
