  • You can always try to add 100-150 calories a day for 2 weeks at a time, see if that stops the loss and if it doesn't, add 100-150 more for the next few weeks.
  • I can completely understand the fat people don't get medical care. I've been there. It is impossible to get someone to take you seriously because it is just so easy to blame everything on the weight. For me, a good multivitamin, extra vitamin d (d3) are a must (Northern sunlight just doesn't do it I guess). I hope you can…
  • I have 100 to lose as well - but - if I look at it 100 pounds at a time, it is just too much. I do 30 pounds at a time. First goal should be met this week. My advise is to make changes slowly and only add more changes once you are comfortable with the first. I logged food first, then a few weeks later reduced calories,…
  • FWIW, anytime I try to make all the changes at one time, no matter how much willpower I am feeling, it doesn't work. This time around I started with a few weeks of just logging what I was eating, then I evaluated what I was eating and made changes to begin lowering the amount of calories I was bringing in. Once I had the…
  • Maybe you could try hazelnut flavored coffee and then you won't need as much creamer in it. I buy the small single serving containers of creamer so it is tough to add so many calories at a time.
  • Many people in my family have allergies to trees and grasses, but there is a cross reaction that happens during certain seasons where things like squash, bananas, etc. cause tingly tongues, hives, itching, and for some of the family, constantly taking allergy medication is enough to keep these things under control, for the…
  • I had to buy all new clothes because my old ones were falling off. I didn't have to go to that dark section in the back of the store with the bad cuts and bad patterns, I was able to get them off the 'normal' rack.
  • I have a lot of weight to lose, and my first 3 weeks, I gained 3 lbs, but in 4 months I have lost almost 30. You'll get there!
  • I bought a seat cushion for at home and one for at work!
  • are you taking measurements? you may be surprised at the inches changing. I can't see the changes as much as I can measure them, but yeah, that is the last place I am losing my weight. even my fingers and wrist are smaller. :D
  • Yes, your calories are too low, and fruits and veggies are good fillers and you aren't showing many of them at all in what you described above. Patience will get the weight off, not a quick, unsustainable loss.
  • I always did my ABCs and multiplication tables in my head to pace myself. If things were going rough, I would start saying it out loud to get my pace in check. Another option is to pick music to listen to while running that has the same beat of the pace you are needing to run and work with that for a while. Form is…
  • I work in an office where it is very easy to get too busy to get up to get a drink, go to the bathroom, or even eat lunch. Watching my steps is more a way to make sure that I am getting up and doing something during the day. I don't have a magic number I go for. When I first started, it did help as I was really beyond…
  • If you take up new sports, there is always the possibility that there are new exercises to focus on to help with things like stronger kicks, higher jumps, faster rowing, different muscle groups to add to your lift routine. I'm not sure where you live, but around here, it is easy to change up activities based on the…
  • I am a mouth breather, and to help keep my pace I do my multiplication tables in my head. When I can't concentrate on them, I am pushing too hard
  • If you are consistently losing a lot of weight while eating enough calories, you could have a medical condition and should see the doctor to rule out any possibilities for that.
  • My first 2 weeks I gained weight as well. Just keep working at it. I am 13 weeks in now and I'm now down 25 pounds. Just keep working at it. You'll get there.
  • I suppose it is all in how you view things. I look at my deficit at a daily, weekly and monthly view. This means I have some days where I am under the calorie goal in mfp, other days I am over, but I track a consistent weekly/monthly deficit to lose the weight. Overall, I think I am losing more slowly than I could if I…
  • If you have access to a pool, you may find it is easier to get a workout in there.
  • In our house we prepare the bulk of our meals over the weekend and just heat and serve during the week, or we use the crock pot to cook our food through the day while we are at work. Then you can make pretty much whatever meals fit withing your definition of healthy.
  • I do daily weigh ins to collect more data points. I also take measurements 2 to 3 times a month. This is how I check to see if my daily calories seem to make sense for my activity level and size.
  • I shoot for a 30% deficit for the week, so some days my calories are higher and some are lower. Some days I am less hungry, some days I am more hungry, and this way it doesn't turn in to punishing myself for what I am eating.
  • You are making progress - that is obvious by the changes in your measurements. The scale is just one data point for your progress. My first month I gained 2lbs. if that helps you to feel any better. Give it time. I lose some weeks, I go up some weeks, but when I look at the overall progress, it is losing. So much can…

  • Are you taking measurements? I take measurements 2-3 times a month to see where the weight is coming from.
  • You need to know what your 'why' is. If you can't figure out what your motivation is to do this, then you are just going to tread water with no direction. What are your goals? Are you having health issues? Do you want to run a marathon? We tend to have too much going at night during the week to cook, so we prepare most of…
  • I celebrated, ate ALL the food, and feel zero guilt for it. I was due for a refeed day anyway!

  • The dress I got for Easter a month ago is now too big and I will need a different dress!
  • I'm still here too!
  • It seems like you are starving yourself during the day. If you aren't so hungry by the time you get home, perhaps you won't go so crazy on all the junk. The kids don't need that much of it either.
  • I'd rather have a Dom than a Sub. Disappointing thread is disappointing. We had a little local place that just closed that had the best subs though. They had home made bread - never frozen and when they ran out for the day they closed.
