I've seen that pretty spider on the lampshade. She does good work. (Also, she prefers Leila to Shelob. Tolkien got it wrong.)

Did a modification of this workout today: 5 rounds, 30 secs each: -B&T -GTO (35lb) -Lunge in place (with or without weight) -Skaters -Bicycle Crunch Then, did 1 additional round (false finish), subbing the B&T for burpee, 10 reps each exercise. Did me in plenty!!

JJ - it's an app. "Gymboss interval timer" It's been awesome on the bike workouts! But really sweet to set up a group of exercises, set your interval time, time between for getting to next exercise, and number of rounds. In the one above, I forgot the 5-sec btw - but it worked!

If you're using Gymboss, this is what timer looks like:

I said to Matt at the grocery, "There was also an Indian dairy-based drink that was on the list of fermented foods." And we looked up to see a new item called "That Indian Drink" - it's like drinkable yogurt. Bam! http://www.thatindiandrink.com/

kefir unpasteurized sauerkraut unpasteurized kim chi certain yogurts - more research required I also read today that tempeh and miso are derived from fermented soybeans, and they have some probiotic action.

Poop is no joke. They're running a study where they're giving obese people a dehydrated capsule of poop from a thin person, to see if the gut bacteria can be altered / re-programmed. And just today: http://www.phillyvoice.com/why-chop-wants-study-your-babys-poo/ "Don't throw your baby's dirty diapers in the trash: They…

Yesterday's strength (not Power cuz it was slow): 8 sets of push/pull sleds! - 3 sets with 75 lbs - 3 sets with 100 lbs - 2 sets with 75 lbs Focus on staying uber-low on push with a big lunge steps, and *trying* to pull unbroken the full length.

Beast Modal is still one of the funniest things evuh. Would love to hear that read in Shakespearean style with someone like Ralph Fiennes or Kenneth Branagh! Why do 20# weights feel different when you travel?

Great job, Nat! I don't think I would have been able to resist the ravioli!! Today, I'm roadtripping w/ Jack, and we packed some clean lunches and snacks. Dundore sliced roast beef with carrots and red peppers wrapped in romaine leaves.
-
Mod version of this that I did, iff'n anyone is interested: 7 rounds -3 stair runs (at Wyo Fitness, use steps behind rowers) -7 push press -7 burpees -7 OH swings

Yes. The Attributions. Makes one feel phoolish when we shine a light on it and hold it up to the mirror (and any other idiom you can think of about being honest). But MFP kinda does rot in some ways. It told me my cookies yesterday were like 153 cals each! Pfft.

Hats way off to the legit bikers out there! I used Gymboss (1st time) and did a 45-min interval: 1 min - standing/hard effort 2 min - sitting/moderate speed 1 min - standing/hard effort 30 secs - easy pedaling Made it to the end, but I had to get my head in good place to keep the effort up. What did others do?

Same appearance for me. My total time was 10 min longer than Matt's. My pace is not what it used to be!

Susan Powter said it back in the 1990s: "Ya gotta eat, ya gotta breathe and ya gotta move."

Sorry you're stuck - hope the extra time is a good thing!

Exactly!! It was even more comical to me b/c all the heavier people on the scene have started their own weight management programs for 2016. So they were all waving their hands at it like it was the devil's work, "Oh no, I can't have that." Then I felt double-bad so I took a piece. Turned it upside down in the trash can…

This torture device!

That was actually a balloon on the top o the cake that the cake cutter insisted I have. Ew.

Like, too.

Good day!!! Knowing strength was today, it was a good day to fast b/c I didn't need fuel. Just some coffee and bone broth in the morning, and I was good to go! Weights = good!
-
Excited to give these pure strength days a try to see what the results are. It's hard to de-program the cardio component b/c we've become so accustomed to doing things in a hurry to be more efficient and get the most bang for our hour. I think not being strong for strong's sake is how I keep ending up with setbacks in the…
