Hi Julie. I'm Angel. This site has changed my way of thinking and I'm making it active in my life. I hope you love it as much as I do. I'm sure you will.

I LOVE Stevia products. I thought stevia was cup for cup though... not sure. Stevia is expensive but I think it's worth the money and I'm on a very tight budget. Is it possible for you to ween yourself off the amount in your coffee?

I don't know that I eat 1/4 of grains and starches... maybe I do though. I guess I hadn't really thought too much about that. I'll pay more attention. Great post. I'm definitely a visual person.

I might need to give this a try this weekend too

I love this site :)

I applaud you.... I'm not offended one bit.

A friend of mine told me she had blueberries and a little whipped cream on hers and it was better than syrup. To do it yourself, you could put blueberries in a sauce pan and add a small amt of water. Turn heat on low and cook them until soft. You could add a few packets of stevia or splenda as a sweetener. Or you could try…

You should be very proud of your accomplishment!!!!! I'm proud of you and I don't even know you.

May I ask... what is a 'moob'?

I'm sure you will become addicted to this site like the rest of us. Welcome and kudos to you for searching out change.

Because of this, I'm gonna Zumba ASAP!!! It looks like soooo much fun and I have yet to hear anything bad about it.
-
I didn't get into it just yet but I think that site has just about everything covered. Thanks for sharing. Bookmarking it.

It's only been a week, right? I'm hope to not embarrass you but what about hormones? It could be bloating from your monthly friend. :blushing:

You're right. It's a new day. You recognized your behavior and took control. That right there is progress. The biggest fight you're gonna have is to stay in. Fight to stay determined. You deserve it. Keep on keepin on

You will find so many tips and encouragement here. I'm Angel. Nice to meet you.
-
Congratulations to your victory!!! I gain more strength when people just bite the bullet and take control.

I know this is hard for your mom as well a for you. 35 years is a long time. I'm sure there is still some mourning there even though it's been nearly 10 years since your father's passing. Do you think your mom wants him around because she loves the potential? I mean I'm sure he's not a douche all of the time. Is she maybe…

I don't think it's appropriate either... and I'm single. Flirting is not innocent.

Avacado? Laughing Cow? Greek Yogurt? Just some more reasons why I love this site. Excellent ideas, guys.. and I am not the one who posted the topic but I'm sure glad she did :)

I did an old song.. Groove Is In the Heart by Dee Lite!!!! Not quite 5 minutes but it's sooo much fun to dance to and just be goofy. Thanks for the idea. I want to do that more often.
-
I'm sooooo game for that one!!! I don't think I will wait for the 40 minutes though. Gonna do it now.......

My first 2 weeks I lost 11 lbs. Congrats on your loss. Will it last? Are you sitting down? No, most likely not BUT that doesn't mean progress is not being made on the inside though. Sometimes, a change goes on unseen before it can be seen. That's a great thing. Keep it up!!! I love this site. It's more than getting healthy…
-
I forgot... BIG BIG HUG.
-
You CAN keep doing this. I'm not sure what is preventing you from losing. It could be a number of things... just give it another week and see what happens. If nothing, then post another forum and then people can chime in and help. IF YOU QUIT, YOU GAIN NOTHING BUT BEATING YOURSELF UP MORE!!!!!!

LOL.. 5 miles is a long way if you're not used to it. If you're wanting to get in some extra workout, can you have a cab pick you up and drop you off a mile from work? And do the same going home? You're still getting in an extra 2 miles in. Just a thought.

I, too, am right there with you. I just started a month ago and still consider myself 'new' but familiar. I have not missed a log in day since I have started. Call me crazy but I really enjoy this. Why? No clue.. just do  I have large numbers too. I would love to shed AT LEAST 75 more pounds. That is a scary number.…

It happens.... you get back up and keep movin'!!!! ((big hug)) :flowerforyou:
