  • Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am new to weight lifting, as in free weights. However, I am not new to strength training. I have been doing lots of body weight exercises and I am a martial artist, so I have some strength. When I did my first workout yesterday, 45 lbs did not seem heavy for me at all, so I should be…
  • Thank you so much for the reply! Ok, I will do it at maintenance, and yeah I eat basically whatever I want if it's healthy. I eat lots of salads and fruits so I never really get hungry. I usually drink protein shakes after my workouts, and eat eggs for breakfast. Yes, I am well aware that the scale needs to go away once a…

  • Hey I am in the same position as you! Except I started this in December and have barely seen any results. I would suggest you try the TDEE-20% method, which seems like what you are doing! But I think you should calculate it online and see what you get. This one's good http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

  • @brandiuntz - Thank you and yes I have been a little iffy on my calories, so I want to see if any change occurs in the upcoming weeks. Riding the bike is just a fun thing I do while watching TV and I take it easy because I try really hard while running! Congratulations on becoming a runner! I think my main problem while…
  • @betreich - Thank you and I definitely agree, it is important to be eating healthy! A lot of people try to do "dieting" but I really don't want to be eating healthy foods just to lose the weight, and then get back to eating unhealthy. I am trying to eat as healthy as I can to make it a part of my lifestyle. I am glad to…
