best combo of exercise and diet?

ok, so a couple months ago i did the c25k program, and i finished it..but like i dont know what happened, i guess i didnt see any changes in the way i looked, so i kinda just didnt do much after that, and instead of working out 5 days a week, it came down to like 2...and i read a lot of stuff and researched a lot, i just didnt know how many calories to eat, i minimized my junk food consumption, and im pretty good with that now, like i eat moslty healthy, but i dont know how many calories to eat

but now i wanna get back up and go back to the fit lifestyle, because i kinda miss it, and im not giving up until i see myself looking good, so i need help finding the perfect combination for me so i can lose those inches and see results

so firstly i need help with how much i should eat, im 5'1" female, 140 lbs age is 19
i eat healthy most of he time, but i am kind of limited because i am a vegitarian, i eat eggs though because of the protein, but i just dont know how many calories to eat

i joined the gym, planet fitness, for strength training machines a few weeks ago, but i really dont know how to make progress and like how to go up with my weights and i just dont know much about it, so i need help with finding a program that fits best for me

i have a bike at home, and i usually try to run outside for cardio

im just having trouble finding the right combo for all three of these things for me, i just need some help setting a program for myself and following it to see results

i really appreciate the help, thank you so much :)

Lifting heavy does not make women bulky. It just doesn't happen. Muscle gain is a slow, arduous, process. Women do not put on muscle fast at all. Plus if you are losing weight while lifting, you really aren't putting on any mass at all, more preserving the mass you already have so you ensure the weight you are losing is fat, not muscle.

Well to lose fat you will have to lose weight. The idea that one can build muscle while burning fat at the same time is mostly fantasy. You can do it when you first begin training but then it's very hard to do. It's much easier to focus on losing enough fat until you are comfortable with your body fat level then slowly building some muscle to achieve the look you want.

By adding in some resistance training with cardio so u are doing weights while ur heart rate is up u should see good results as u will still be burning fat while u are doing the resistance work. Jillian Michaels 30 day shred is a good example if ur stuck for ideas x

As for how many calories to eat, why don't you try setting up MFP stats, at least to start.

As far as exercise routines go, I know I lose interest quickly if it's too repetitive. My weeks usually consist of strength training 2x per week, running 2x per week and yoga 2x per week. I enjoy all these things. I would find 2-3 things you enjoy doing and rotate them. Maybe start with a class or workout video.
