  • PMS does that to me without any of the fun. Be glad you had the fun! :-)
  • If I want chocolate that badly I'm generally in an iron crash (which yes does tend to coincide with about that time), and I feed the craving, I feed it high grade dark. Quality over quantity, both my waist and my iron levels thank me. If it is iron related at all don't mix in calcium into the situation it can mess up iron…
  • If I didn't go out for lunch I'd lose 1/3 of my walking. I take a best guess aproach and try to add margin. I am happiest on days when I eat more AND do more.
  • Favourites are steak, dark chocolate and guinness. Do remember that most leafy green type iron sources need to be coupled with vit C or your body won't uptake it. Also can't be paired with calcium as iron and calcium like to bond with each other and then your body will have trouble absobing it, well, presumably either. (So…
  • I have to admit that the more there is no answer for this, not even a way to bodge around it, the more I am left with the stereotype that programmers generally just don't cook.
  • Mayo for 99% of things, Hellman's olive oil for preference... but I have a creamy coleslaw recipe that works better with miracle whip, which if you read the fine print claims to be for salads anyway. I'd still take "salad cream" in a sandwich over miracle whip... which is faint praise through damnation.
  • it wasn't just greens there were also bocconcini, tomato, corn, walnuts, balsamic vinaigrette... all sorts of tasty stuff. But yeah, it wasn't small either I'm not gonna lie. :-D
  • Well in this case I suspect it was for two days prior where there was an extra 1000 deficit. 0_o so as a week on whole all is well... but I'm interested in how most people would cope.
  • I think consuming enough caffeine to change your metabolic rate enough to lose weight would mess up your sleep past any reason. I'd be up a clock tower in a clown suit in under a week. <hyperbole for the sake of humour people>
  • Wow, 6 hours and only one break would be breaking labour laws where I am. My kneejerk reaction would be tell them to get stuffed... but that's not helpful.
  • i didn't reach my full hieght til I was 23 so patience and excersize are your best bets now.
  • Frankly I'm not happy without a bit of red meat now and then... however I'm chronically low in iron and not only is it high in iron it helps iron uptake generally. And even if that is just an excuse I'll take it, all things in moderation (including occasionally moderation).
in Red Meat?? Comment by olletho March 2014
  • turns out plain guinea fowl meat is in the database, and I think I can fudge it from that. I just misstyped quite badly possibly due to food coma. Thanks for the help and if this thread turned into a general how to estimate food which is neither home cooked nor chain produced I would not be sad in the least. I suspect…
  • Let me rephrase the question.... are there good tips and tricks for estimating unusual meals?
