  • I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years. Protein powder mix is a great way to get some extra protein in and are great to make smoothies with. GNC brand I buy has 20 grams per 8oz mix which is awesome and has only about 100 calories. Also any soy products is a good source...soy patties for example, soy beans, edamame..…
  • This is happening to me too! I would like an explanation to this too :( It's super frustrating and discouraging because I'm trying so hard and doing everything right!
  • Yeah I agree with the OP and the above. I don't know why this is still confusing to me. I normally struggle to GET to 1200 calories and never would think that's the reason why I'm not losing weight. It's interesting to see the responses and the previous posts on this.
  • Thanks so much for the feedback! I do eat some diary so I would like to give some of the shakes / mixes a try. I haven't tried the Greek yogurt yet either... but sounds good to check out. I'm hoping with adding more protein I'll see a difference in how I feel and / or lose weight. That would be great!
  • Thank you all for your experiences and encouragement!!! I will contunue to stretch my leg muscles out (maybe get some icy / hot - ha) and power though to do the Shred later today! I don't want to lose motivation for it at all.
  • I'd like to know the same thing! I also just started the Shred today and earlier I did about 35 mins of cardio on the treadmill (my usual work out). Planning on doing both but don't want to over-push it too much at first. My legs are already killing me. lol
  • Hmm... Maybe you had set your personal preferences or goals to match an active lifestyle and / or that you planned to work out a lot ? Good Carbs (not anything white) would be used to keep your energy up when doing harder work outs or you have an job that keeps you on your feet so you are using that energy and not storing…
  • I've been hearing so many great things about the Shred. I must try it!! lol
  • I would love to start it - I keep hearing great things!! Must pick it up sometime this week. Good to know it's not too expensive either
  • I am trying to lose around the same weight and started on this site last week and since lost 2 lbs (before- I was platouing for a good 2 months- actually even gaining weight!) I have asked for some advice on here as well. I hear a lot about making sure you add variety into your cardio. I was doing the same cardio for 5…
  • Way to go!!!!!!!!
  • Thank you all for the responses!! That's how I felt - after I really made more of a conscious effort to cut back on calories (thinking I was eating way too much) and counting everything and upped my work outs, I stopped seeing the scales move too... very frustrating. So when I saw that about the starvation mode I wanted to…
  • Sure I'll add you! I'm looking for new friends too! :)
  • I know it's possible it could be water weight gain. A lot of things can factor into that such as too much sodium intake, that time of the month .. etc. I'm actually struggling with that right now too actually. I weighed myself on Monday and again yesterday and there was a 4 lb difference! I mean.. no way I ate that much…
