We got our first snowfall today and all I want to do is sleep for the rest of the winter. Winter is definitely a struggle for me but I'm determined not to let it get the best of me this year. Some great tips in this thread - good luck to us!

We're spending 10 days or so with my family and I won't be logging, and having a good ol' feast on Christmas Day. Can't wait!

I listen to audiobooks. If I try to listen to music I get distracted trying to find the 'perfect' song, never successfully.
-
I have a FitBit so it just records it as unencumbered walking/jogging. Also, way to go! I used to push two kids and that was tough, never mind wearing a third!
-
For me it was my weight a few months postpartum since that's where I was stuck for years.
-
According to my FitBit app I'm up to 15k calories today XD

Don't know about onigiri except that it's more rice than I care to eat in a sitting, but my problem with bento boxes is that the set I have isn't large enough for my monstrous salads. I still weigh everything that goes into my cute little boxes when I bother to use my set. Mostly I just use regular reusable containers and…

I eat air-popped popcorn with butter pretty much every night. I log it when I'm logging my breakfast.

Hi, we're already friends but other people can feel free to add me too :) I'm 5'4" and currently 141lbs, started at 160. My initial goal was 130 but that was pretty much a random number I'd picked and at this point I plan to keep going.
-
I tend to pre-log but I definitely need to eat before the afternoon! My kids would be dealing with a very grouchy mom otherwise ;)

I had negative calorie adjustments on for my FitBit for months and it randomly disabled itself the other day, maybe yours could have randomly enabled if you didn't have it on before?
-
I weigh everything because I can eat a looooot of veggies and I have the scale out anyway. I had a salad the other day that had over 150 calories from lettuce, red peppers, onions, cucumber, and tomatoes alone - it can add up!

That's how I did it when I first used MFP a couple of years ago (and didn't last more than a month). Logging by weight is so much easier!

My kids aren't babies anymore but oh man, does this post bring back flashbacks! As someone mentioned above, a baby carrier can make a huge difference. You can get things done with your hands and comfort and bond with baby at the same time, and often they find it very soothing. I didn't have one with my first but used one…

I also love to bake, and when I started on MFP I just had to stop for a while because I had trouble moderating myself. After a few months of working on new habits I was able to take it up again, and now I can have one cookie instead of half a dozen. Everything gets weighed and tracked. If I make something that's more…

Same thing happened to me on the website, although it's still correct on the my app. I vote bug.

I drink whole milk because that's what my kids drink and I never go through a smaller container of lower-fat milk quickly enough. Plus it's delicious!
-
I just hit the top of the 'normal' BMI and I'm anywhere from a size 8-12 depending on the brand. Sizing makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I've been doing burrito bowls lately and find them very filling. About half a cup of rice, half a roasted chicken breast, roasted peppers and onions, lots of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, salsa, plain yogurt, hot sauce, lime juice. If I have the calories in my budget I sometimes add guacamole and/or shredded cheese. I've…

I make what I call 'sad nachos' - thinly sliced cucumber with salsa and yogurt-sriracha sauce for dipping.

I eat some form of 'junk' most days. The difference between now and when I was very overweight is that I'm mindful of portions and do things like put a portion of my treat into a bowl instead of eating from the bag, bar, etc. I'm going to be eating like this for the rest of my life and you can pry my chocolate and…

I'm finding the opposite. I have two kids who bring home colds and such a lot but I haven't been sick since April, right before I started exercising more and tracking my calories. I'm usually eating 1600-2000 calories a day, depending on my activity level, and losing steadily.
-
I love roasted chickpeas but they're also super easy to make at home! I'll roast a can full and then top my salad with them for the next few days.
-
Congrats! You've been working so hard! I hit my initial halfway point a couple of pounds ago but think I'm going to be continuing down past it, so we'll see!
-
I'm in Canada and got a bunch from Superstore for $2 each, although I had to buy 12 to get that price.
-
This! Tomorrow is Blizzard day for me, yay!
-
I log everything, including fruits and vegetables. Today I'm eating about 200 calories worth of vegetables and 100 of fruit - it adds up!

I've been going through the Budget Bytes archives lately and haven't yet made a recipe I don't like! Lots of vegetarian recipes too. http://budgetbytes.com

Cottage cheese, the last of the good fresh berries for the season (sigh), and homemade bread with butter.

When my kids bring home candy they're not going to eat I just toss it.
