The best Christmas I ever had was spent alone... I rented a bunch of movies, made myself a special dinner, made my obligatory calls, and watched movie after movie... it was great... and remember you are never really alone... whether or not you are with them, distant friends and family do love you... and if you are…

I so want to try this... this will be fun indeed.

calling something cheating is the problem... I never cheat, I simply eat whatever I want within my calorie intake allowance. when you mentally tell yourself it is a "cheat" you make it out to be as though you are doing something wrong. If you body craves chocolate, eat the chocolate... don't feel bad about it, just make…

I always just over estimate on everything I take in and underestimate on everything I output (exercise)... and I usually leave between 300 and 500 calories at the end of each day, shooting for a NET of between 1300 and 1700 each day - and I pick when I cook too... but it works, 70 pounds down since Feb 14 this year...

I go to events and bring my cooler with my meals... not even the ball parks I have been to have refused me... only at one party did I get a look from one person that seemed to say "how rude" that I brought food I could eat... and she wasn't the hostess (the hostess was absolutely amazing). 66 pounds and 11 inches later, it…

It has nothing to do with the tool you use but rather the dedication and lifestyle change and the speed of loss... the faster you lose, the more likely you are to gain it back... the in/out of calories is a simple formula but I am grateful for MFP to do all the math....
-
are you trying to gain? if not, if you aren't hungry, you don't have to eat all your calories... my husband needs to gain and he is in that space where he feels like he is gorging himself

I got a set of weights (2, 3, and 5) and I do an aerobic weight training routine wile I watch TV... it is cardio and toning at the same time... I enter half the time as aerobics on here and half as weight training... I also do belly dancing, which is a dance designed for toning... the Goddess workout is the one I do from…

you could cut it down slightly, but rawhide is actually not great for dogs, as it can tear apart their innards... or so my vet told me... also, carrots are great things to feed dogs to help lose weight... My vet said my dog needed to lose like 7 pounds... I cut her food to a third and then gave her all the carrots she…

I have been averaging 7-8 pounds a month.. and I do eat anything I want too! but there is no sure way of anything... just eat healthy, exercise, and do your thing and you should be on the right track.
-
calories should be priority... especially since sometimes I eat high fat but it is almonds and avacados that have high fat, but good fat... I shoot for a net between 1200 and 1700 depending on my exercise for the day. Make no mistake, you should eat your calories, especially if your hungry... but don't worry so much if you…

don't be afraid to eat... the weeks I have lost the most I feel like I have eaten way too much... but I haven't. If you eat too few calories you can actually gain weight because your body has gone into starvation mode... nuts and avacados are amazing to help with that... I also like to eat a lot of Chobani yogurt and Kashi…

It is likely somewhere between the two... I usually enter what MFP says even if I know I likely burned more than what it says. better to over estimate on food and underestimate on exercises... end the end, if your hungry, eat something healthy and be sure your NET says at least 1200 - that way if you underestimated too…
-
I would say add a bit more exercising... what you are eating is good...
-
I add it to soup... it works real good that way.

I have lost 64 pounds and am gonna yell it from the roof tops... lol

don't be upset, just look to the next day as a new day and a new rainbow of life...

Maybe you should talk to your doctor about why you are not losing the weight. Maybe there is something going on that needs to be corrected before your body will allow you to lose the weight....

my simple rule, I never deny myself anything that doesn't have meat or corn syrup in it. So if I want chocolate I eat it, I just don't eat more than a serving. And I always eat a snack within an hour of bed time. It is an ABSOLUTE myth that you cannot eat past a certain time. It is all about moderation and eating within a…

I am sorry for the loss of your friend... just remember with every punch, kick, squat, etc, she is there with you working out just like always... supporting you... and proud of you for achieving a healthy lifestyle

shift your thinking... don't diet, create a lifestyle that builds into the occasional "binge" if you will... every day I have chocolate... I plan for it and without it my day feels incomplete. I still eat potato chips and cookies, and the like... I just limit the total amount within my daily allotment. if I want more I…

I usually add lemon juice to my water, but ran out for 2 weeks - horrible water... anyway, I was swelling like crazy... so I am glad what I have done to enhance flavor has been a good thing... thanks for the tip

I know with my niece she always wants to eat chips... I say no chips until you eat at least half of what is on your plate. she often eats most of the food, then only finishes about half her small bag of chips... With kids under 5 I don't think you should worry too much, but saying you have to finish the plate is wrong, as…

make sure you are eating between 1200 and 1500 NET, after accounting for exercise. when I exercise i sometimes eat 2000-2500 calories in a day. the meds may also be impacting it... it may be slower than you want but it will come off...

calories too low can backfire indeed... I had a whole month of that before I realized I wasn't eating enough... it takes balance and shifting that balance at times.

I eat imitation crab meat... it is lower sodium, but a bit higher calorie... always a trade off... I also think the pouches might have less sodium than the cans... but not sure... I have to focus on so many other health issues that I don't worry so much about sodium...
