I drink diet soda all the time. I'm losing weight. and yes I do feel more satisfied. I cut out sweets so my diet cherry pepsi makes me feel like i got something sweet. Really helps.

I've lost 16 pounds in about a month and a half.

cottage cheese has quite a few calories and is healthier than taco bell. Not really sure though, not stress, but grief, but I can somewhat understand. last year my daughter passed away after she was born. I lost all appetite and everyone kept trying to get me to eat mcdonalds. I dropped a lot of weight (which later i put…

just trying portion control for a little while should help. Don't go back for seconds, eat on a smaller plate. Find things to occupy your mind when it's just apatite and not true hunger. That's what I did, then I moved on to calorie/carb counting (im a diabetic, that's why i count carbs). Just start making healthier…

Yep. I will always have mine from my Cherokee ancestry. But at least they aren't as pronounced as they were when i was nearly 300lbs :D

Based on your pictures you look fine. I think it might just be your obsession point. I get like that over my legs.

Are you weighing your food? One of the biggest and most common mistakes people make is not accounting for the real amount they're eating. You haven't been overweight that long, I've been morbidly obese since I was 10. So I can tell you honestly, if i can do it. You can do it. It just takes a little time figuring everything…

lol thats the best one yet.

Is your sodium too high? Drinking enough water? Without seeing your log it's hard to say, but protein is important but even if your body was eating lean muscle that would still be a drop in weight. Are you weighing your food? Logging correctly?

Oh lord, now I know not to buy a new scale in case it tells me I'm bigger. I can't handle that level of heartache right now. lol

also sometimes your body gives the wrong signal. Sometimes when you feel hungry it's actually because you're thirsty. My doctor told me that a few years back and I've found it's true.

I'm noticing that change too. I'm eating later and later each day. I get up super early and I used to eat at 6, then it was 7, now its a little after 9 and im still not hungry.
-
I had to find activities to keep my mind off eating. Even playing a stupid facebook game helped.

You use 10% of your energy eating and digesting your food. Well, That's what the huge scooby formula told me when I calculated mine. There is so much misinformation on the net, so don't hold me to that.
-
I was only asked that once. Worst part it was when I was in the 8th grade. A senior waiting to get on the bus asked me. I was mortified.

I'm turning 30. I think it's great you're finally working towards a healthy lifestyle at your age. I had a very unhealthy relationship with food all my life. What finally changed everything was addressing that. I would suggest maybe some counselling to help you address those issues. You will still be you once you lose the…

I only watch my carbs and sugar because I'm a diabetic. But I lost weight even when I wasn't being responsible with it and watching them.

When I was 19 my brother in law and I went to the gym as support for someone else. We got bored and got on treadmills and started racing. Our heart rates were way up and (yes totally dangerous) we kept going. Finally we had it turned up so high that my BIL got a cramp and fell and went flying backwards into the wall. I…

I'm not over 40, but I decide to respond since this scared me at first too since I've been morbidly obese since I was 10 and I'm 30 now. I've done extensive research on this subject and the previous commenter is right. It can tighten up some after a few years of maintaining your goal weight, but most likely will not…

Based on your diary you are eating a lot of sodium. Drinking water will help dump some of that and you are probably carrying a little extra water weight, so that alone would be a good reason to drink more.
-
30 Carbs. That and calories is the only thing I pay attention to.
-
Im not exercising either. I had the same issue. Now, when I get down close to my ultimate goal, sure I may reconsider, but for now I'm losing at least 2lbs a week just controlling my diet.
-
wtg! You've done amazing!
-
Most likely water retention. How much sodium are you eating. If your diet has changed lately is it fast food? The sodium adds up FAST with that stuff.
-
Oh lord, me too. lol

I eat 1300 cals (what MFP suggested) and I'm 5'7" and 250lbs. So it's doable, just takes some getting used to and I find eating more low cal foods throughout the day helps me stay feeling full.
-
Your body is trying to keep weight on to protect itself. You're eating such low amounts that its probably starving. (and i don't mean starvation mode) i mean, real literal starvation. As people starve their metabolism drops to try to conserve fat in order to survive longer.

Every test I've seen says 6.5 wrist size or larger is considered large frame. But I really don't think any of it matters really. I've seen ladies on here say they had a 7' wrist size but got down much smaller than they thought they would.I have 7' wrists but i dont think im big boned at all.
