Well its not all loose skin, so it should tone up some once you've lost those last few pounds. You may have a little saggy skin after its all said and done. Will tighten up some within 3 years I hear, especially since you're young.

For me, but i'm much larger than you, it says I would burn 833 cals an hour at moderate. So yeah 100 is probably a bit low. I agree with getting a heart rate monitor then you will really know.

^^agree and walmart usually has a clearance section as well. Most of the time I'll see something there for a great price, get to the register and it was priced wrong and was even cheaper! I got a ton of t shirts there the other day for a dollar each and they were marked 3 dollars.

The first step to failure is to beat yourself up when you make a mistake. You'll over eat even more do to the emotional roller coaster and eventually just give up all together. Tomorrow is a new day.

I understand what you mean. I'll be 30 next year and it hit me that I wont be in my 20s anymore and that was like a shock. Like a slap in my face really. I have a disabled son and I realized taht I had to add as many years to my life as I could so that I could be around for him. It really does take a specific time in your…

I went and bought 4 nice pairs of jeans at a thrift store, 1 in each size down to my goal size. 1 dollar each. The smallest ones are the cuties so very good inspiration to reach my goal. and very economical.

Hi all, I'm Vi. I'm 29 and currently 75 pounds away from my goal weight. I've lost 25 of the total 100 pounds I need to lose. I'm a mom and a stress eater. Working hard to make this a lifestyle and quit the yo-yo dieting. Nice to meet you all!
-
I cut back, but i didn't stop. No issue with weight loss.
-
I'd just work on cooking healthy meals and lower portions. You can't control what he does all day but you can help make his sit down meals healthier which is a huge step. I'm doing the same thing with my hubby.

I hear the chest strap ones work the best, but not the cheap ones. I had the wrist kind. Got it from walmart. It was terrible. Completely inaccurate.

Watching TV? That was my issue. I always ate and watched tv so then when I sat and watched TV my brain freaked out thinking I had to have food. So I ended up having to find other things to do than watch tv at night until I got over it.

I would post this under maintenance. Will probably get more replies.

I've got a severely autistic non verbal son, lost my daughter to a rare condition, live with stress and yes I've had a bad marriage before too. I refuse to use any of it as an excuse not to get healthy. I'm determined to be around for a lot of years to take care of my son and I won't let him down. No excuses!

25% I think she looks amazing.
-
As a previous poster said, depends since you lose weight in areas differently. For me, I've lost 6 inches in my waist in about 5 weeks. Now that area is stalling but I've lost in my arms and chest.
-
Agree with previous posters. I had the same issue and once I started weighing my food I realized I was wayyyy under estimating what I was eating. It was pretty bad actually.

I prefer to do a cheat meal once a week, instead of a whole day. Much less impact on your weekly progress and I look forward to that dinner all week. Plus I don't have the horrible guilt the next day. :)

I don't necessarily agree with this. At least not in the beginning. If you don't have a lot of weight to lose, then yes. But if you have quite a bit then no. Weight loss is 80% diet. I've found that when I add an exercise routine I eat more, way more. Though, I will be re evaluating this once I'm closer to my goal weight.…

You don't need to buy books to eat low carb. It's pretty much the same as calorie counting except you count carbs. Anything specific you want to know you can google it. There is a sea of information about it online.
-
Where you a big carb eater before? My husband eats massive carbs. It's his kryptonite. If he were to cut out carbs he would have to find a lot of new foods and he would be miserable. I'm on low carb because I'm a diabetic and it makes sense for me, but I still have to watch my calories. Because at the end of the day…

I went up 3 pounds this past week. Today I weighed in and was back down to what I was before. It's up and down, look at the trend not what you weigh today. Is it trending downward? If so you're fine.

I know what you mean. I finally felt my hip bones a couple weeks back. Very exciting.

As a kid I was a lil overweight, other kids started picking on me and adults kept being concerned. I ended up 400 pounds at 19 years old. Luckily I lost a bunch of that, but I'm still obese working hard at almost 30 years old to lose it. I like the previous suggestions of fun physical activities to do together. That's…

OMG Nacho cheese.... you're killing me. lol

agree completely
-
I don't agree. If someone asks the question directly, then a direct answer isn't shaming. When someone didn't ask and your entire point is to point out a physical flaw in an attempt to make them feel like they are worth less. That is shaming. If you try to making someone feel bad about themselves, that directly is trying…

I have trouble with it too. I try to drink a lot of water to fill my stomach and do some kind of activity other than watching tv. I realized I used to sit and want tv and snack at night, so when i changed my habits I was still watching tv and I was mentally thinking something was missing. I had put tv and eating together…

Here's my issue. I had a friend about 10 years ago who was very very obese. She was made fun of for it all the time. She felt bad about herself, she turned to food, got even bigger. Well one day she'd had enough, she bought a bike and started riding it everyday. She rode it over to my house one day and some guys across the…

Whenever I feel appetite coming on I jump on here and read posts. Great motivation. I don't work out, at least not at this juncture as I have a tendency to eat even more than what I burned. I've dropped 22 pounds so I think I'm doing something right. Have you ever stopped to think that your pointless criticisms wont get…
