I'm in the same boat as you with height/weight and eating 1200 calories / 165 carbs. Even though I never exceeded my calorie limitations, I never lost weight until I reduced my carbs. What works for me is 100-120 max carbs per day.

I add different things like Truvia, vanilla extract, sugar free choc syrup, cinnamon, juice from blueberries, or 1/4 cup coconut milk. It just depends on what I have on hand, just try different things and find something that works for you.

I eat almonds everyday but limit myself to only 1 oz. You could measure them out in snack size baggies. The baggies that most nuts come packaged in are way more than what you should be consuming in one serving.

Most cereals will be higher in carbs but 43g carbs wouldn't be desireable for me either. My Kashi Go Lean Cereal runs about 34 carbs but I don't have it everyday.
