I wonder if people who don't like plain water just have really crappy water supplies. My water is delicious. T_T

Right now I only take half a 37.5mg each day. I took a whole one from Jan. until May, when my mother passed away. I am taking it combined with some anxiety medication (both prescribed by the same doctor, under her supervision) and it's helping me function through my loss and keeping my appetite in control while getting…

Sincere curiosity, why is it that only women seem to be susceptible to osteoporosis but not men, if the risks seem to be so high in your opinion? What is it about men that protects them from bone damage?

There are SOOO many potential reasons for someone to overeat, usually tied to an emotion whether traumatizing or not. Eating for a sense of enjoyment, eating with bad habits taught from a young age, peer pressure for "just one more" beer, piece of cake or hamburger. Stress due to being overworked (which also ties into lack…

Off-topic, but my husband spilled my hemp-milk today, which I worked VERY HARD to make. :'(

I have PCOS, have been having good results with Ketogenic (low-carb, high-fat) eating. I'll add you :)

As someone who drinks upward of 100oz of water per day, I am absolutely baffled that water, a liquid which tastes pretty much like nothing if you use even the cheapest of filters, can be "disgusting". I imagine, like the fruits and veggies you used to hate, you would adapt to drinking more water once it became a habit.

I got hit on just the other night. Some dude told me he wanted to eat me like a cupcake... like... geez. I'm not even conventionally attractive.

Lol, too restrictive is completely subjective. I make my own bread, non-dairy milks, pizza, buns, crackers etc. Restrictive? Only if you don't want to be creative. ;)

Also, work on your posture. I f'd up my hip joint from having an extended bend in my posture with little to no ab muscles. Suck in your belly to help you straighten up and build a little muscle. The second picture in the other thread looks like you're attempting a "shelf booty" but bending your back at an awkward angle to…

Neither for me, honestly. Try both :)

That still wouldn't be Depo's fault, though, if they have a pre-existing condition. I get what you're saying, I have PCOS.

I got stuck at 200lbs for about two months before I crossed the threshold into onederland. I was confused, but kept logging and walking. It happened.

It doesn't matter whether or not they were medically advised. This is the eating style they chose.

I know I'm late, but I put an application in. Maybe I can wait on the Platform.

You can do it! Everything was pretty easy when I started at 262lbs until I got down to around 190lbs. It became harder to control my emotional eating, I wasn't getting help for my mental challenges (borderline personality disorder) and so I have hung around 190 for the last year, doing well and then falling off just as…

Starting this 8/17 Starting weight (since joining MFP): 262lbs Current weight: 185.6 lbs Goal weight (for now): 170lbs

I've lost a gold brick. :)

I am on Depo, I have continued to lose. I may be the only one in the thread to not have horrible side effects on hunger and emotional control, but seriously... were you REALLY weighing and measuring everything? Nibbles here and there? How did it affect your exercise?

There is an option to show fiber with the rest of your macros. You will need to download the Chrome or Firefox extension that figures out net carbs for you. Just google Chrome/Firefox extension for myfitness pal Keto.

LCHF does not waste muscle like you think it does. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1373635/

See I don't get this divide. I count calories AND carbs because I'm an emotional eater. I will being eating LCHF for life and probably calorie counting as well. I don't see why people think it's always one or the other, both are equally important for people like me with insulin resistance, PCOS and emotional attachment to…

That Science 101 guy is probably what made you type out this thread, OP lol. I am also LCHF, I brought a study to my doctor involving people with my own general stats at the time (obese, high cholesterol, markers for diabetes) and she let me experiment. There are also studies out there showing positive effects on people…

I think with the weight you are at it is unrealistic to think you can lose very quickly. Larger people, like when I was 262lbs, can afford to lose at a faster rate because the benefits outweigh the risks. It would be dangerous for you to try to lose more than 5lbs or so a month because you would be severely cutting…

I like to challenge myself, too! I am apart of a 90 day low-carb challenge and it's really motivational! Maybe there is a group or you can start a thread in the "challenges" forum to get more people! Good luck!

Yes, I do keto so a lot of food is "restricted", however I can re-create a lot of high-carb food with low-carb ingredients.

I know, Science Babe for the win! :) GO GMOs!

You don't need to eat meat to be low carb. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan recipes online. Google is your friend. ;)

Vegans who want their kids to be vegan need to take the time to really plan the additional nutrients that a growing child needs. No doubt that there are kids that are thriving on veganism. My only problem is that as much thought as it takes for an adult to get all the required nutrients, it's THAT MUCH harder to provide…

Lol how childish, thinking that if you can't pronounce something you shouldn't eat it. Do you know the composition of a blueberry? Are you a fan of Food Babe?
