The only solution is to make sure you're inline skating right behind your daughter every time she goes out in public.

I always work out before bed...I sleep pretty well

My mom will be 65 in July. She does some formal exercise (yoga, treadmill, etc) in the winter, but in warmer weather, she's an avid gardener and does all her own lawn care. She also still works part-time as a nurse. So she gets plenty of exercise, and frankly she's stronger than I am. She just really likes to stay active.…

Men aren't as genetically blessed as you might think - they collect fat around their abdomen where it's much more dangerous. Women can get away with carrying more fat since they tend to collect it around their hips. Now it's not terribly fashionable for a woman to have a lot of fat on her hips, but that's not a genetic…

They can't move because their mortgages are all under water *runs away*

I just got over a bad cold and fever. Honestly, I didn't exercise, just let myself rest. I've still got some residual coughing now but am going to do some yoga or something tonight to ease back into things.

I never thought of cabbage soup as a diet plan, but I do have my own cabbage soup recipe and when I make it I can easily eat it once a day until it's gone. I love the stuff!

Throwing up is just pain leaving the body...or vomit leaving the body. One of those. :-x

haven't done Killer Buns and Thighs but have been working through the 30-Day Shred. Great program and doesn't take much time at all. Haven't seen much in the way of results since I'm still on level 1.

If I overeat one day, I often just don't log it. That red number is too depressing...I just try to do better the next day.

I'm the total opposite - workouts wear me out, and I dread the thought of having any obligations post-workout (other than showering, brushing my teeth and going to bed). So I always work out in the evening. Although sometimes I think the workouts energize me too, and cause me to have weird dreams....

L1D7 done. Still struggling w/ push-ups and anterior raises, although I'm getting more push-ups in. My endurance is much better than when I started.
-
The anterior raises/side lunges and push-ups are what kill me. I could probably do the anterior raises if they weren't at the very end of the workout, but by that point my arms are killing me. Push-ups I can't do under any circumstances, although I'm getting a bit better. I can't knock Natalie for cheating, at least until…

If it's muscle ache, I still go ahead and work out. If it's joint pain - like I hurt my knee or something - I rest until recovered.
-
When I first started 30DS, I got discouraged because one of the first moves is push-ups. I couldn't even do one, not even on my knees. I have little stick arms that aren't good for anything, lol. But I've kept trying and now I can do several knee push-ups. You really can make a lot of progress in a short time if you stick…

I'm on Level 1-Day 2/30, after trying this program a year or so ago and quitting after day 10. I'm not even sure I tried Level 2, in fact.

Probably the free bread at restaurants. It's never anything special and such a calorie bomb.
-
I do use a non-dairy butter on mine, but I measure it out so I know exactly how much I'm using. I use that along with Paul Prudhomme's salt-free seasoning and a bit of Lo-Salt. Good stuff!

Way to go!!

I'm supposed to lose a half pound a month, although I've been losing faster than that as I shed water weight. My calories are 1400-1500/day.
-
I don't care much for salads, but there are TONS of good soups you can make that are low-calorie. A plain veggie soup with a few beans or some lean chicken in a non-creamy broth is not high calorie at all. Great stuff for winter. If you search the forums, you can probably find some good recipes.

Me. I'm on an even keel right now, but I never know when I'll have another episode of depression. Having any sort of problems or issues at work seem to set me off. Are you in therapy or taking any meds?

Emotional eater here. I will eat when stressed, when anxious, when bored, when lonely. Or sometimes I will eat when I'm perfectly happy and just want a hit of sugar to make me feel a little better. Sorry to hear about your friends, OP. I hope you have a great birthday whether they take part or not.

From one chocolate lover to another....THANK YOU!

And sometimes it lasts 18-21 years. But by then, it has spread to both parents...

For those of you who don't like whole wheat pasta, it might be worthwhile to try a few brands before giving up. The first brand of whole wheat pasta I tried was awful (Barilla, I think) and I didn't try it again for years. Then later I tried Ronzoni and thought it was much better. Now I can hardly eat white pasta; it's too…

I still eat pasta and rice but have cut way back on the portions. I used to eat an entire bowl of pasta, or a whole cup of rice with a meal. Now, I treat pasta as a side dish, with BIG helpings of veggies taking up the rest of my plate. With rice, I'll take one heaping tablespoon full of it to eat with my Chinese food or…

And if your husband orders fettucine alfredo at a restaurant and you get a salad, you can eat off his plate and it doesn't count. :-\

Eating in response to just about any emotion - boredom, loneliness, excitement, anxiety, sadness, etc. - rather than just eating when I was hungry. Food became a catch-all drug for dealing with my emotions.

I watch that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo show obsessively. I've even friended the mom on Facebook. I disagree with like 99.999% of her parenting decisions, but for some reason I genuinely like her and her family.
