For all of you on this thread that think they are on a plateau....I was on one for 2.5 months. I felt amazing and my clothes were fitting better, but not scale change. Your body has to change everywhere not just on the scale. It changes on the inside and the outside. I waited 2.5 months then in 3 weeks I lost 9 pounds like…

Look up some training videos for HIIT or I can send you some of the work outs we do. I am lucky to have 5 teams from the private gym I go to that is going on this. So we are changing most of our training over to accomodate the run. HIIT would be your best bet for this because its fast and its using all of your muscle…

Where is this info from? I am over everyday on my protein and I am gaining muscle and losing weight. If you take in as suggested to gain lean muscle of one gram of protein per pound of body weight then you will always be over. I would like to read the article you got that information from.

Yes this is very true. We had a gal that lost 7 pounds of fat and gained 3 pound of muscle....added 1.5 inches to your thighs. So you can add inches by adding muscle underneath.

This isnt to scare you at all its just reality so keep this in mind. You can lose weight by burning muscle also. So watch your cardio so you are not burning away all of the hard work you put in. So keep up the weights and balance the cardio out..Seen a barbie girl at the gym measure out with a 45% body fat but was a size…

If your body is healthy it is going to accept things differently and process them. If you were still unhealthy and eating the same stuff you always had been and not exercising then you would probably would have gained weight. Also the added muscle in your body from working out probably ate all the extra calories and carbs.…

Sounds like a good ole case of shin splints...sucks you are having them with just walking. You may need to have some muscle work done. Not massage but bodywork specific to the problem, and someone to help you stretch. Do you wear high heels?

They can possibly if you are taking them on an empty stomach. Try to bury them...eat some food take your vitamins and then eat some more. If you are sick you should focus on echinacea, golden seal and vitamin C. If you are taking a good vitamin you really don't need that many extra. Try to find some Nutrilite or herbalife…

If you are doing kettle bells and doing them correctly KEEP DOING THEM! That is literally a FULL BODY workout. Not sure on calories but I know they will shape your body quicker than anything else you can do. That and squats.

Can u just add some lemon or lime to your water. Something natural that has flavor instead, or even cucumbers are really good in there. Get a gallon jug and add a whole cucumber sliced up in it or lemon/limes or both at same time. This way you can refill your small water bottle up numerous times.

Yup my mom swears by it and my roomates GF has been on it for a year or more and loves the way she feels. I havent tried it yet..so I guess I will just take everyones word for it... as I say in my practice and on here... everyBODY is different. Its gonna work different for everyone.
-
Yup this is what I have always been told by trainers and nutritionists. Works for me! As we say in my field though EveryBODY is different, and different strokes for different folks. Do what you feel like doing and what works thats what matters.

Yea if there was even a CHANCE of me breaking my diet and having a cheat day there is a million better restaurants then Applebees I would be going to. Like carrabas for some Italian. Go big or go home.. =0)

yea applebees is the WORST for sodium... I know a former manager from there so take my word on this DO NOT absolutely DO NOT get a salad with vinaigrette dressing on it.. So bad for you and just plain NASTY! Yea the salt is terrible there for sure.. The appetizer sampler she said has 2600 calories not counting the ranch.…

This is a suggestion that worked for me and wanted to pass it along. While you are healing stay as active as possible with your good foot and leg. Flex it move it exercise with it to keep the muscles in your foot that is being operated on from atrophying. The nervous system for the legs and arms are peripheral so as long…

I do these on a regular basis for runners and basically everyone. 90% of all low back pain is caused by tight hip flexors. They attach to the entire low back from T-12 to L-5. See if you can find someone in your area to do an actual release on the hip flexors (Illiopsoas) muscles. You will feel amazing but its pretty…
-
This is all great information... Low back pain from running is usually Hip flexors are to tight. I had a client that we were able to cure her knee pain completely and give her stronger runs..stretching the IT bands and adductor's first then she alternates running straight with running from mail box to mail box on either…
-
OK...lets chat!! I work on knees and runners weekly. Everyone usually has the same problems. IT bands and adductor's are to tight and they are pulling your knee into a crooked position for layman's terms and you are running on one meniscus instead of evenly on both..Hence causing the MCL and LCL ligaments to hurt on either…

Yes it is the caffeine...it is a diuretic. So you shouldnt have to worry about the sparkling water since there is no sugar in it and only a small bit of sodium even if you down the whole bottle. Stay away from the soda.. =0) Evil stuff!

I have quite a few friends that use Halosync CD ..you sleep with ear buds in but it uses auditory responses to trick the brain into shutting itself down into Delta brain waves and puts you to sleep.. They swear by it. At least if you try this you wont have to put chemicals in your body. I have the sound bites if you want…
