  • I have a motto that I initially used when I started running but now has carried over to the rest of my life: "Never quit in the first mile" After you get the ball rolling in a workout or on a tough task, it is never as bad as you thought.
  • Congratulations on joining the gym! A good place to start is by doing 30 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength training, and 10 minutes of stretching. For 30 mins cardio, it doesn't matter what you do (treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike), just make sure your heart is beating slightly harder than usual (there's…
  • Wow, you look so tiny!! Such an inspiration! p.s. the filename for your 'before' picture made me laugh. Your new one should be "hottieme"!
  • Rosie, I was in the same boat as you a few months ago - every review I read raved about Turbofire but they were all written by people associated with the company lol. So I just thought I'd give you an unbiased review here in case you're still trying to decide. I'm on week 5 of the 20 week schedule, and so far I've lost…
  • I only had shin splints once, and I don't know what caused it, but someone on one of these boards suggested to write the alphabet with my big toe -- and it worked! I did the alphabet twice with each foot and the pain just completely disappeared! Maybe that will help you too. Hope you feel better soon :)
  • WOW! How many months/years apart were these taken?
  • Awesome! Now aren't you glad you took "before" measurements??
  • How heavy are the weights you are using? I started each level with 3lbs and moved up to 5lbs when I found it was getting too easy (usually 5 days with lighter weights, 5 days with heavier). I'm just thinking that if you move on to level 2 you might find you get bored of the program before the 30 days are over. I'd suggest…
  • HAHAHA omg I was so scared for you for a minute! I just finished bandaging my feet after my first week of C25K, but that pic reminds me that it could always be worse!
  • I would say just be patient - fat comes off the places it wants to come off first. I have heard that the most recent fat comes off first and the oldest fat is the last to go. I know for me, over the years I have seen obvious changes in my arms and legs that corresponded with my level of fitness, but I never ever saw a…
  • thanks for the heads up- I have been looking for workout pants! Just wanted to clarify - I think the discount code may depend on your region. For me it was "onmaple" and no free shipping :( Still a great deal though!
  • Thank you, guys! Great advice! I know it seems like common sense but as a teenage girl in highschool, it seemed like everyone around me was crash dieting, and I am not so overweight that I thought to ask my doctor about it. It feels good to have finally struck a healthy balance though :)
