  • For me it's Cadbury chocolate (particularly Marvellous Creations Cookie Nut Crunch - yummmm!!!) - also rather partial to oatmeal and raisin cookies, particularly when they're warm straight from the oven!
  • From a cardio point of view, I kick my hubby's butt, but he is pretty strong and spends more time lifting that I do (I'm still just getting in to weights), so from that aspect, he pips me there big time. From a healthy eating point of view, I would say my diet is much better than his. His metabolism is VERY high, so he can…
  • For me, it's fitness equipment. I've rewarded myself with a new set of dumbells for when I start ChaLEAN Extreme at the end of this month and a punch bag to hang in our garage so I can de-stress when I get home from work and burn calories at the same time.
  • Hubby and I are planning on doing this together next year - can't wait!
  • I have a work colleague who is always making 'fake' nice comments to me about my weight-loss achievements, and then follows it up with something like 'you make me sick', or 'I can't bear to look at you'. She's always moaning about how she's put weight on and her clothes don't fit her right, but then in the next breath is…
  • About 2 years ago, I was out for a walk with my hubby when a car full of random guys slowed down as they passed us and shouted 'fat cow' to me out of the window. I was completely mortified and cannot even begin to describe how that effected my self-esteem for weeks afterwards. :-(
  • You're doing great - Cardio 2 is tough to begin with, but I grew to really enjoy that one during the last few times I did it. I'm hoping I'll feel the same way about Cardio 3 eventually - man that workout kicks my butt!!! :-o
  • I mostly use pairs of small neoprene weights at 1.5kgs, 2kgs, 2.5kgs and 3kgs each. These tend to work for me for this particular program.
  • I donated a huge bin-bag of 'too-big' clothes to charity this weekend. Felt so liberating to finally get rid of the last physical evidence of 'Fat Cara' from my wardrobe - LOL! :-)
  • I'd be curious to know this as well - I'm going abroad for a few days next week and won't have access to the 'Net whilst I'm there - I don't want to lose all the days I've accumulated so far!! :-o
  • It won't kill you, but it is definitely harder. Just stick with it and you'll soon notice how much stronger you become from workout to workout. I have workout 11 for the first time tomorrow, so I'm also a bit nervous - but excited to be so close to the end of it all now.
  • I have to confess that Diet Coke has been a life-saver for me on this weight-loss quest. On days when I'm getting the good-old 'rumbly tumbly' between meals, Diet Coke has saved me on more than one occasion from scoffing down the nearest office donut or cake that I really don't need to sabotage my success so far. I don't…
  • I regularly burn over 1,000 calories on weekend days, but only through doing several different workouts back to back. I normally mix things up between some TurboFire, weights and power walking and most of the time I can blast 1,000 cals through that. I haven't found a class yet that I can 1,000 within the hour, but I'm…
  • I really appreciated this post - as somebody who suffers a little bit from OCD when it comes to calorie counting, I've found it incredibly difficult to up my calories from the initial 1200 I was put on at the beginning of my weight loss journey. I work out a lot and was finding that I was getting very weak and tired all…
  • Posting all those pictures of Creme Eggs in different forms is just plain mean... I'm literally drooling all over my keyboard now!! LOL!
  • Zumba is a really fun way to burn a pile of calories. I used to be an instructor and had lots of different shapes, sizes and abilities in my class. The important thing to remember is just have fun - it doesn't matter if you don't have the moves down straight away - as long as you're moving, you're burning calories. And a…
  • Bokwa, Tae Bo, Turbo Kick, Body Pump (the list is endless)... I would imagine for any commercially available workouts, you have to pay a license or certification fee to be able to advertise your classes as being that specific program.

  • I know what you mean about the Malteaser bunnies - they are LUSH!!! I bought a packet last week to go with my nieces Easter gift and ended up scoffing them all myself (the mini ones) - fortunately there were only 5 in the packet at something like 60cals each, so the calorie impact wasn't disasterous, but even so, they are…
  • I had an unhealthy obsession with Tunnocks Milk Chocolate tea-cakes (stuffed with marshmallow fluff) - I could easily munch through a whole box of six on my own one after the other. Sugar overload!!! Haven't had a single once since December last year.
  • I'm currently enjoying baked beans on toast each morning. 2 slices of Weight Watchers brown danish bread toasted (no butter), topped with Heinz low salt/low sugar baked beans. Yummy and only 243 cals all in.
  • Another vote for Polar here - don't do a workout without it!
  • Yes! Billy's counting is not his strong point - ha ha! And sometimes he forgets to work on both sides, but I'll forgive him as I love his energy. He's very likeable overall. I have a few of his really OLD DVDs and I love all the cheesy music and spandex everybody's wearing. Fabulous!
  • TurboFire is AMAZING! I finished the Prep Schedule yesterday and I'm straight in to the regular schedule starting today (Monday 14th April) - feel free to add me as a friend if you want any motivation - Fire 30 tonight after work - bring it on!!!
  • I've done a lot of TaeBo in the past and it's certainly contributed to my weight loss overall. However, I'm beginning to find them a little less challenging now since starting TurboFire and Les Mills Combat, so don't do them quite as much. However, I still think they're great workouts and there are so many on YouTube, you…
  • I don't know about doing this exercise exclusively, but normally once or twice a week, I'll do this for half an hour whilst I'm watching a bit of TV. Always work up a sweat and burn a nice little handful of calories at the same time. Any time you're moving your body and raising your heart rate, you're helping contribute to…
  • For me yesterday, it was Captain America (the first movie) whilst stomping it out on my step-box with a whole shed-load of bicep curls. Movies and exercise are an awesome combo!
  • A can of whoop-*kitten* would have been in order I think!!!
  • Hi! I'm from Portsmouth. :-)
  • That's great! It's those little things that spur you on to continue with your journey - well done and on to the next NSV!!!
