But not too much for some - if that's your goal! I like your wording, better though, you're right. lol

That's why I'm excited about this challenge - the timing is perfect to overcome all of those cookies/candies/etc...

I see what you mean. I actually really admire women who are 'bulky' and strong. Its just not what I would choose for me. I didn't mean for it to be deragatory - it is just the best word I could find, and I was sure people would know what I meant.

I am not, but I have always been interested in it. I wouldn't want to be too bulky, but I would love to be more muscular.

The big debate: which is more important, diet or exercise? I always have most success at losing when I'm watching what I eat. I know that keeping active is so important for staying limber and for good heart health down the road, though.

In the past, when I've hit a plateau, people have suggested that I need to start eating more calories. That always backfires, and I end up gaining, rather than jump starting the weight loss again. That's another thing; I never try to make up for the exercise, either. That's the whole point of the exercise, in my opinion -…

Thank you for 'getting' it! I am realizing that this just isn't understood on this site, generally speaking, but this is what I wanted - people who have come to the same realization. :) @zcb94 , too. :)

That doesn't even make sense. A smaller person needs fewer calories. Why is everyone being so defensive? I can't be the only one this is true for. Every person's metabolism is different. 'And, if you are gaining fat on more than 800 calories...' Of course I would gain fat eating more calories than I need/burn during a day.
-
I was just looking for others who also stick by 800 calories, for some support.

My gastric bypass doctor recommended it, actually. I am not quite 5' tall.
-
My meds are checked regularly. I was not losing until I dropped my calories. I also feel better throughout the day.

I stopped drinking a few months ago, mostly to support my son who was going through rehab. I new I was drinking a lot, but I don't think I realized how much it was affecting me until after I stopped. I agree with the better sleep! I wake up feeling like I actually slept now, rather than before when I had to drag myself out…
