Update: I did the 10-mile race yesterday and my time was 1:23:22! Considering I was aiming for 1:40 when I originally posted I am well chuffed! Thanks for the great advice! :flowerforyou:

Hi! I run 3-4 times a week - started last year with Couch to 5K. Just ran my first 10-mile race today! I'm maintaining but don't log food. However I do log exercise and support people. Feel free to add if you like (that goes for any of you runners!) :flowerforyou: F4

Well, whaddayaknow? First 10-mile race today, was hoping for inside 1h 40m, wanted to be closer to 1h 30m, got over the line in 1h23:22!

When you're used to it, running 2 days in a row is fine...I did 2 5K races on the same day recently and was fine...but when I was doing C25K I definitely needed at least one rest day between! I guess it depends how fit you are to start with, I wasn't fit at all so I needed my rest!

Yes - I had a plateau while doing C25K, not much weight loss but dropped a dress size! Have gone down another one since - running is ace!

Thanks Cooriander! I've been wanting to have a go at running the 13.1 for a while - I have a 10-mile race in a fortnight so really this was the last time to try it ...so I found a forgiving stretch of trail and gave it a go! And I'm so pleased I did!
