  • Well I am a fan of the Les Mills programmes and have done 1 round of Les Mills Combat and am doing a hybrid programme of Les Mills Pump and Les Mills Combat now. Others I've heard are particularly popular amongst females are Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme.
  • Hello dkalita and welcome. Brisk walking is a great way to start and the fact that you've made those dietary changes means you will start to see the benefits. I use home DVD workout programmes so see what you can find that you can use - it works well for me. Alternatively there are a lot of resources on the internet on…

  • I think Les Mills Combat is by far one of the best all around DVD programs. There is intense cardio mixed in with strength and flexibility training........awesome blend....................and no, I am not a Coach either. [/quote] Would have to agree! I love it.

  • Hi - I'm Chet from London, UK. Started this fitness journey last November and I am less than 10 llbs away from my initial target weight. Once I'm at that weight I'm switching my focus to a body fat % target. I started tracking my calorie burn last week with a view to challenging myself to improve on each week's number and…
  • Yes please add me. I was going to try do this on my own but would be better to do it with y'all to help support each other.
  • There are many varieties of programmes on Team Beachbody (no I am not a Coach) and you can find one that suits you personally. I have used 10-Minute-Trainer, Les Mills Combat and Les Mills Pump.
  • Congrats ppdes and singhanurag! You're both doing fantastically well.
  • It was great fun Showmm!
  • I lived in Virginia Beach for 2 months years ago and yes I can agree that I was a lot fitter for it then. Lots of good bike trails amongst many other things I found.
  • Nope <cries> I'm going to guess 28 for you.
  • @ganzhimself - wrong! Clearly a poor picture of me ;-)
  • Welcome Niharika. Clearly you're a motivated person with a good plan that is working for you. Keep up the good work.
  • Whoa a sudden burst of activity here. I like it. Welcome Malay, Anurag and Walk. @Walk - I did almost 2 weeks of c25K and then had to stop. I'm restarting this weekend with by repeating Week 2 and then intend to finish all the way through. It was good when I was doing it and the app I have on my phone allows me to play my…
  • Welcome Anurag - looks like you've already been making some good progress!
  • I agree - looks like a consistency thing. Once you figure what works for you from a calorie and execise point of view as long as you stick to it (and change it up if you plateau) you should see a steady downward trend. It takes a lot of trial and error to find out what works for YOU since we're all different and respond in…
  • Good work Arvi. I too want to eventually reach 15% body fat. As of today I am at 22.6%.
  • Wow that is fantastic. A good example of keeping it simple and achieving great results. Do share what you did in those 6 months (apart from working out in the gym) that helped you.
