I never tell people any more when I change my eating habits (lets not use the 'd' word ;) ) It drives me NUTS when people comment on my food choices and this way I can just get on with it without anyone passing judgement/offering advice, etc.

Friend of mine had a gastric band fitted. She lost a ton of weight very quickly. At first. It was very hard for her to keep solid food down, and she had an essentially liquid diet, sooo she started to eat icecream, etc, etc... the band eventually expands and she gained a lot. She also didn't learn a THING about discipline…

Personally, I think he's entitled to spend his money on anything he likes.

Hahahahahaha, brilliant :)

Just the once? Nutella is soooo gooooooooood

I had a very similar experience to yours; my mother and grandmother are both hypothyroid so it stood to reason that I would be also. My GP in the UK ran tests and everything came back 'normal'. I then went privately to an endocrinologist who ran blood tests and an ultrasound and I had nodules on the gland and reduced…

Everyone's an expert when you're on a diet, no matter if you want to lose weight, gain weight or get healthy. This is why I don't tell anyone.

I saw a lot of people the other day who hadn't seen me for a while and they noticed I'd lost weight. Several asked me how I did it and were surprised when I said I ate less than I did and exercised. Perhaps people in Argentina (who are VERY body conscious) are all doing strange diets?
-
That's exactly it; it's as if when you inform someone that you intend to lose weight or just improve your diet, it allows them to nanny you. As if you don't know that chocolate is fattening! Maybe I'm just cranky ;)

Even when I was heavier, I was very fit and very strong (all horsey girls are freakishly strong!) and it is just normal for me so I am often surprised that my sister, who has always been slimmer than me, couldn't carry all her shopping into the house in one go, or got more tired than me going up long flights of stairs. I…

That's fair enough :)

It shouldn't, but it does. I put a huge amount of care into what and how much I eat, but it seems I know a lot of people who believe that me watching MY diet allows THEM to pass judgement and it drives me crackers. So I don't tell anyone although I will admit it if they notice I've lost weight am eating differently etc.…

I know!!! Although my boyfriend said it to me once and it really p*ssed me off as well.

So THAT'S why I'm single!!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha. I'm not overweight and have a v healthy appetite, but I don't want to have to be watching what I eat in case a man is weirded out. That would totally mess with my head.

No, nothing to do with exercise. He noticed it shaving one day and he needs surgery, so I'd recommend you get it checked out sooner rather than later. I'm a bit obsessed with the thyroid as hypothyroidism runs in my family and my mother forced me to go to the Dr as I felt fine and couldn't be bothered. Generally speaking,…

It could be your thyroid. A friend of mine noticed similar swelling and that's what it was.

A little bit is good, but there's a fine balance between scratchy stubble which is not so good, and unkempt.

I do, but I don't think a few days of undereating will do it and I also think that it recovers pretty quickly as well.

I don't eat it, but I think it's gross anyway, unless very crispy

I read it. And the followup and also an earlier article in which she claims to have used her sexuality to climb the professional ladder. And other women hate her because she's beautiful? *snort* I think not.

Bread, butter, cheese (especially cheeses that smell like jogger's socks) crackers, bacon, home-made fudge, red wine...

I'm not supposed to cycle or do stairs after knackering my knees. Thought I'd take up running... had similar pain. Apparently the surface is VERY important. I was running in the road, but probably my shoes weren't so great either.
-
I used to work in a shop and spent all day going up and down stairs, then I cycled home about 4 miles. My knees were killing me! The doctor told me that women have less muscular support around the knees and exercise like cycling and stairs are VERY tough on knees, even when you're very fit, as I was at the time. I would…

Sorry :) But seriously, why would you want to be with someone who would cheat on his GF? What makes you think he wouldn't cheat on you as well?
-
To quote someone else; "He's just not that into you"
-
Totally.

In the UK there are people claiming benefits on the grounds that they are too fat to work. If someone wants a job, no matter what their size, and they're qualified/physically able to do it... I say GIVE them the job.

LOL I'm so glad I'm single :)

Oops. Grammar fail ;)
