I need help. I am trying to lose some weight here, but I am at a loss for what exercises I need to do. I am a college student, and have very little time between school and work to actually go to the rec center and work out. I do enjoy walking, however I live in Ohio, and it's about 17 degrees outside and I'm not too into…

There's some great ideas here! I'm gonna hit the grocery store tomorrow and buy a few of these to try:-) It'll sure beat having to eat all the junk my university offers. Yuck.

I am on the hunt for some healthy, low-cal snacks that I can eat during the day, especially at school. I have big breaks during my classes and I always get hungry, and I don't wanna resort to eating all the junk food that my college offers! Anyone have anything that they enjoy?!

2.83 is the cheapest I've seen it!

Welcome! :) The only advice I have about the "pooch", which I certainly have too, is to make sure you do your cardio or that fat will not come off. You can't spot reduce by just working out your belly. Sure, you can do tons of abdominal exercises, but that just makes it stronger, but not less fatty. I lost a lot of the…

I love baked lays, but that story about how they make them definitely makes me want to find another option! Also, Baked Lays have hydrogenated oil in them...so if any of you are watching your diet for heart reasons as well, I would stay away from them!

That's awesome! A pair of pants is great motivation :)

I used to HATE Nutrigrain bars...but my friend randomly gave me one and now I am obsessed! They aren't even bad (as far as calories and fat) as long as you don't eat 5 in one day. They don't have any hydrogenated oils or much saturated fat, so they aren't too bad for your heart either :) the foods on your list are…

I'm the same way, I am good on Calories but I am over on carbs...it freaks me out. haha

Thanks for all the help. I understand what to do now. And Kerrilucko, thanks for the tip. I'm kinda new to all this weight loss thing, and I appreciate any help and advice. :)

I just wanted to make sure I am understanding this whole calorie thing correctly. For example, MFP tells me that I should eat 1,370 calories a day to lose a pound and a half per week. Today I exercised some (only 129 calories burned, I have a bad headache! :[) So, basically, when I put my exercise into the computer, it…

Hello All! I am trying to fully understand the "eat your exercise calories" thing I have read about in a couple posts. I know that it's probably been asked about a trillion times, but I read two and I only slightly understand...can anyone help me out here? I just wanna make sure I do this right to lose the weight I need…

Thanks for the tips! We do actually have a rec center which I have used once, but the time factor comes in for me since I work right after class usually, and am taking some hard classes so I usually study when I have time. Ugh! I am gonna try to sneak some work outs in though there, and do some at home if I can. Your tips…

I just wanted to introduce myself...I'm Megan, I'm here to lose the birth control and "freshman fifteen" weight (for me, more like the freshman 20! yuck!) I'm wanting to get down to about 140 lbs (I;m 5'8"), but I am super super busy with school and work 5 days a week. Any one have any tips for me, who has been in a…

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't quite find it....so I figured I'd ask! :) I am only trying to lose about 20 lbs I've gained during college. I've been working out for a few weeks now, but I haven't noticed much of a change in my weight. I am doing cardio and some stregnth training to work on my abs. Am I…
