  • I didn't get to eat anything. I went to the hospital because of bleeding and my water broke while I was there. They admitted me and I wasn't able to eat. And it was 10 PM when I went to the hospital so I wasn't able to sleep, either, for about 48 hours.
  • I'll have to try this recipe in the fall.
  • Looks and sounds yummy!
  • Looks and sounds delish. Will definitely try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.
  • Thank you for the kind words. And I apologize for causing anxiety; that was not my intention. I'm not sure what caused the loss. DH and I are waiting to see them until they've had time to get home from the hospital. That necklace is beautiful. I will show it to DH and ask if he wants to get this for them.

  • I agree, baby having their own seat with a car seat is much safer and easier. I took a 3 hour flight with DH and DS back in April. DS had his own seat (he was 12 months at the time) and it made it much easier for DH and I to move around in the plane. And it was more comfortable for all of us. I gave DS a plastic cup (asked…
  • Maybe I'm reading your post wrong but if you are trying to keep your supply up you should not be cutting out water from your diet. You would want to increase your water consumption. If you are dehydrated your supply will most definitely take a hit and decrease. You can also try eating oatmeal (old fashioned oats) and…
  • We started solids a couple days before DS was 6 months. And I only did that because DH had been hounding me to start solids since DS was 4.5 months. I wanted to wait until 6 months because baby's gut isn't developed enough for solids before then. We started with pureed butternut squash. It took him a few weeks, maybe even…
  • My DS is 13.5 months. The weight loss has been very slow moving for me. Some people lose weight quickly while breastfeeding but I do not. I'm still BFing my little guy so I've struggled with losing weight vs. keeping my milk supply. I don't get too much of a chance to work out besides taking DS on a walk after work (now…
  • Definitely going to try this!
  • Congrats, Mommy!

  • My favorite resources were, and still are... The book "So That's What They're For!" - book on breastfeeding I read "The Mayo Clinic Guide to A Healthy Pregnancy" Online resources: https://www.facebook.com/Wemakemilk (Breast Is Best FB page) http://www.csftl.com/ (Car Seats for the Littles - they also have a FB page that is…
  • 13.5 months for me without sleeping through the night. Last night was a 'good' night where he went to bed at 8pm, woke up at 1:30am, 4:30am, and 5:10am. He got up for the day at 6:30am (when I need to get him up to get ready for daycare). So sleepy... ;)
  • My name is Kristin. DH and I have one child. A son named Brandon. He is 13.5 months old. I still have 15-20 lbs to lose (ideally) and a lot of muscle to gain back.
  • This is tricky. I feel like removing feeding sessions is so hard because you don't know exactly how it will affect supply or if it will cause clogged ducts, etc. If it were me, I would feed from both sides at the bedtime feeding after dropping the morning session. I think in the end it will be easier for your body to…
  • I'm totally over pumping, too! I'm down to one pump a day right now and I'm only getting about 2 oz total. DS seems to still be satisfied at night BF, though. Yay! We decided to introduce almond milk instead of cows milk (for right now, anyway). I have been trying for months to get DS to drink from a sippy or straw cup…
  • I love hearing all the stories about meeting and exceeding goals! I took my little guy to the doctor yesterday for his 12 month appointment. NOT FUN! They gave him 2 shots (one in each arm) and wanted to give him a 3rd but I made another appointment next month to get that shot. And they took blood. So horrible watching my…
  • Thank you! I've had one cycle but that was only because I was lazy about taking the mini pill. Since that occurrence I've been taking the mini pill like clockwork and no cycle since then (10 months pp).
  • Please do not introduce a nipple shield unless absolutely necessary. If your son is latching correctly then no nipple shield is needed. Check out the following websites for a ton of information on nursing and pumping: www.breast-is-best.com (also, become a part of their FB group - it's very helpful)…
  • Amazing suggestions! Thank you!! Definitely going to try the Egg Strata recipe with oatmeal and the baked oatmeal. And a few others, too. This morning I am eating oatmeal with 2 T of PB2 and a sliced banana. Not my favorite. I think it's a texture thing for me which is why the "non-oatmeal" recipes appeal to me.
  • Congrats on your baby girl! I sent you a friend request.
  • I struggle, as well. When DS was 6 months old I tried going back to boot camp classes but I was only able to keep up with that for a few weeks. DS is a horrible sleeper so he was getting up 6-8x a night. That, coupled with working full time, I didn't have the energy to keep up with boot camp. When DS was 10+ months old (he…
  • We started solids a few days shy of 6 months. DH bugged me to start around 5 months but I stood my ground and waited until 6 months. My personal opinion is that their gut isn't ready for solids before then. DS is now 12 days shy of his first birthday and we are working on incorporating more finger foods (besides the normal…
  • You could try Power Pumping, as well. Over the course of an hour, pump 10 min, then off 10 min, then pump 10 min, etc. This mimics cluster feeding and helps increase supply.
  • Leftovers from dinner: Johnsonville Turkey Sausage with Cheese, Mushroom Risotto, and a pudding cup. Normally I have a Lean Cuisine type meal, a light string cheese, and a pudding cup.
  • I only use ground turkey. I've made: turkey tacos/salads, turkey meatballs, turkey burgers, turkey stuffed peppers, turkey chili, turkey meatloaf... to name a few. You can pretty much put ground turkey in place of any ground beef. Here are some of my favorite recipes: http://www.ilovetocook.org/meatloaf-cupcakes/…

  • Hi Ladies, I've sent you Friend Requests! I'm BFing my 11 month old (he will be one 4 weeks from today) and trying to lose weight. I've lost 19 lbs since starting MFP but still have another 15-20 lbs to go. I've found that the only way I can get him to BF effectively is to take him in to his room, turn the lights off, and…
