^^ This. So many people have been helpful with advice and/or encouragement. I love the daily support that I get from my FL. Also, it's great to see someone who's just starting out on their weight loss journey and encourage them day-to-day. This is a great community.

This is so awesome! And great job!

Most people say my wrists but I really like my knees.

Wow, great job! Very inspiring.

Drop that hero and get with the zero!

It's YOUR day. I think you have the right to say something to them. If they don't understand (I don't understand how they wouldn't!!) they're pretty selfish. Congratulations too!

Great job! Very inspiring. You're awesome. {{high five}}

:$ sorry. ::flowerforyou::

strawberry shampoo? P.S. I ALMOST said "hairspray" to that one too! :)

I sweat A LOT... I still prefer to use chalk. And I'm fine with callouses on my hands.

Way to be mean! I'll never forget sending my kids up to bed after giving them "one more chance"... I said, "No more chances. Time for bed." My son was sobbing while putting on his jammies, saying, "It works on mom." I'm mean too! :)

I just can't imagine getting to the point where I'm weighing my food. It seems too OC for me. A tablespoon (give or take) will probably always be good enough in my book. I also don't log a 5 minute walk from the car to the grocery store. But, to each his/her own.

That's some heavy artillery!

^^ beach guy - Hmmm... never had it. But definitely on the right track. Their Golden Rye Ale looks like my style though. I'd guess a honey wheat beer for you or maybe a Captain & Coke. ^^ blondie - I happen to know you're a beer girl. I'd put you down for a coffee stout or a Belgian Strong ale. :)

Piña colada, and gettin' caught in the rain.

Oh, I just realized that I promised to update... I won! :) Boom goes the dynamite.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the kind words. Did I win the contest? I think so... they will announce the winners next week. I will update this thread... stand by. ;)

^ Me too!

Agreed - There is no substitute. Just cut back. That's what this whole fitness/healthy lifestyle is all about anyway... discipline. - stop at 1 beer (or 2 if you're celebrating something) - get out of bed to go to the gym - push out 1 more rep when you're body is screaming "No!" - don't have seconds on cake (sometimes,…

^ FR sent! Seriously, I also cut WAY back when I got serious about losing weight. There's really no other way - too many empty calories. Although, I like beer WAY too much to just give it up forever. That's not sustainable for me. So, one or two beers a week has been working for me. Great job on your progress! ((Cheers))…

This thread is incendiary and sad and just plain wrong. I will pray for all of you. :drinker:

See below. I started Jan. 15, 2014. Logging, regular exercise and portion control have been HUGE. I cut out desserts, sweets, and I cut WAY back on beer (that was tough!) But the results have been rewarding. Good luck!

I want to start doing this! I'm going to look into getting a heavy bag and maybe a speedbag for the basement. I think it's so cool and a great workout!

These are awesome! I've done so many of them too. Music is a big inspiration for me I change my playlist often and it usually includes bands like The Offspring, Everclear, Rancid, Social D, Metallica, AC/DC, etc. I also talk to myself with phrases like, "you've done this before" or "just 5 more"... stuff like that. But…

Very pretty

I like women who like lean muscle mass.

I love beer too. I reward myself with one on days when I have extra calories to spare. I've just cut WAY back on the frequency. I think that's the key. I think completely giving up on something that you enjoy THAT much is not sustainable and will cause you to burn out. Good luck!
