I have had Hypothyrodism for over 13 years. The only way I have found that works is the medicine. Once you start taking the medicine in a few weeks all of that stuff gets better...I have a few things that linger but for the most part you will feel much, much better. You will feel like a different person afterwards. If you…

Cold sensitivity is one of the worst. Also, aching joints and muscles. My hair also falls out a lot.

I usually just let them be, even though they are a pain in the butt. You can prevent them by putting vaseline all over your feet before you put them into your socks. That's the ONLY thing I have found that keeps them at bay.

I also recommend C25k. It's what I used to start running and now I can run a full 3 miles! It's a wonderful program.

Good luck! I have been hypo for ten years and I get it under control it goes good for awhile and then my medications need adjustment again. It's a hard battle, but one that you aren't fighting alone! Feel to add me as a friend if you like and good luck in your journey!

I don't carry anything. I'm more worried about the animals, I have seen bears, snakes, wild turkey and deer. I'm mostly scared of the bear though! I should get some bear spray.

I just started week seven today. I absolutely love the program. It has really showed me that I am a lot stronger than I think! It's more mental than physical for me, mentally I want to quit far sooner than my body does. Make sure you invest in some stuff to keep you comfortable, a good pair of shoes, socks that aren't…

I take 100mcg recently upped from 75mcg of Levothyroxine once a day. That does seem like a very high dose, I'd try to find an endo and see them about it. I need to begin seeing one as well. Did you notice any symptoms?

Peanut butter, a banana and some granola usually. Or just a mix of the three. Sometimes I do apples and cinnamon, or pumpkin, or cinnamon with a drizzle of maple syrup. But I love how peanut butter melts in oatmeal and how the granola is crunchy.

I also suffer from comfort eating and eating when I'm bored. The best advice I have to get rid of the need to comfort eat is to actually feel your emotions. Don't use food or something else to distract you from how your feeling. If you're sad, or angry allow yourself to feel those emotions. Don't feel ashamed about them…

I just finished week six of C25K. I have had a positive experience overall with the program. I had a lot of problems in the beginning with blisters. But, I solved that problem by putting Vaseline on my feet before running. For me it was more mental than physical. I really had to push my mind and embrace the mentality that…

Have you checked with a doctor to make sure that there is nothing going wrong inside your body that you don't know about? Also, it could be that your stressing your body out by doing TO much activity. I have got to the point where I feel like I am doing everything right yet not losing weight and I find that when I relax…

I had this problem when I first started running. They went away after I improved my form and ran more. I also stopped eating before a run, because it gives me really bad side cramps and it makes me really nauseated. Make sure you have proper running form, and be sure you focus on breathing right and all of those things.

I would try to get some running shoes made for your feet. If you go to a running store they will be able to help you fit shoes properly. Also, proper running form! Look up some videos or diagrams about how to run properly, where your feet should strike (not your heels), how you should move your arms, how you should…

I really like this weeks challenge. I struggle constantly with issues of confidence and insecurities. I absolutely do need to work on being more accepting when someone compliments me. good luck everyone!

I have a pitcher that filters the tap water and makes it taste like water should! They are probably way cheaper than a water delivery service.

I know! Most people think that consuming massive amounts of protein without strength training will give you huge muscles and that's not the case. I've learned it is a very common misconception.

You are very welcome.

This was originally my blog, but I wanted to share it with you all. Whole body metabolism is regulated primarily by your hormones. In this post I will discuss some general principles related to energy metabolism and energy balance. Food is the only source of energy and raw materials from which our body is made. In this…

I follow their guidelines. I actually eat less than what they recommend. I've lost around 20 pounds so far.

You can always call a pharmacist and ask, that's what I would do.

Broccoli soup is one of my favorites.
