You look great where you are at! You seem happier, as well. Congrats on all your hard work. :)

I do two things: 1) look for motivation, usually in "Success Stories" and 2) Give myself some self care and down time. Usually feeling unmotivated means I'm tired (which is good). But, to continue this path I need to also recognize when my body and mind are over worked and deserving of a lazy day and some foods some would…

I love her response. :) Quality friend, you have there.

I don't want to sound like the hippie *kitten* who says the obvious Coloradian suggestion, but have you considered smoking marijuana? Many doctors will promote it for aiding in recovery. (For what it's worth, I don't smoke, but found it helped me during my recovery. Congrats on your decision to a healthy and happy life. :)

This says it all, in your very own words. He isn't affectionate, a good communicator, an adequate lover. What *is* he, if I may ask? You sound as if you stay with him out of obligation. I think based off majority, you know what the obvious answer is, but you will do as you wish. I wouldn't be with a partner whom didn't…

Not only is that awesome that you totaled two miles after taking months off, but completely adorable! Gaining in the start of a relationship is super common albeit frustrating.

Congrats, OP!!! That's such impressive progress. What success tips might you have to share? I'm always curious about people's' regimens. :)

How does this post not have more comments?! Way to go, OP! My best friend just bought her first pair of shorts at 26 and it was so cool to see how happy that made her. I imagine you are feeling the same and looking quite good in them. :)

This is amazing progress!! Aren't NSVs the best? :)

I am so happy for you and your newfound sense of confidence! I've found along the way that a pound here, a few pounds there dramatically changes how I see and treat my body and goals. Keep it up! The end result is so worth the hard days that will com. Remember this feeling now and know it gets even better!

You're kicking some serious butt!

It really excites and encourages me to hear such positive NSVs! You are clearly doing good things for your body and pride. Thanks for sharing and being an awesome woman.

Your feelings are valid. You are still very much in control of your body and how you gain the weight needed. If you weight lift while you gain, you will still look slender and your body will happily use up those new calories you're giving it. Again, you are still in control! For me, that was the hardest part to remember.

Lots of people aim to run in the persuit of health because it's a popular avenue. If you don't enjoy it, you likely won't stick to it. Maybe you can take some suggestions and see if they work for you, or, maybe you will find a new cardio routine that you feel good doing. I definitely busy my mind by listening to music and…

I did not read all the responses, so forgive me if this has already been suggested, but have you considered talking with a therapist? I spent a good 10 years of my young life in cycles of anorexia, bulimia and all the in betweens of food and exercise abuse. As I'm sure you know, disordered eating is hardly ever about food,…

Aren't two large eggs roughly 140-150 calories alone??

I know my worth.

Thank you, ladies! I feel pretty awesome. :)

Thank you guys! I'm quite happy with my new self-view. @jenilla: This is my FAVORITE compliment to receive. Thank you!!

First question, are you breastfeeding? It's important for women who are to be taking in adequate calories to keep their supply up. Besides that, I would really suggest you look into getting some small 8 or 10 pound dumbbells and doing some at home workouts. I gained 70 lbs with my daughter, went from 117 to 187. I also had…

Seems like you needed support quite urgently. I want to echo others and suggest that you ask yourself if you're over doing it, perhaps or if your relationship with food is out of sorts, if a possible binge has you so worked up. A binge is not the end all. It happens. You can do things to help said potential binge, such as:…

You, sir, are better than Google and Jeeves combined! Thank you so much.

I definitely have moments of wallowing (quite foolishly) in this state. It's kinda hard not to get bummed when you aren't always losing each week or you are just in that unfulfilling state of in between. I do little things to make myself feel good about my appearance which aren't necessarily weight related. I really think…

Thank you for the advice! I think, in my case, with what little knowledge I have on the subject, that a trainer would be a good tool to utilize. And, more informational resources/forums are always good. I appreciate the help. :)

Perhaps, common sense isn't too common in this case. I have slowly upped the weight amounts on machines. If I began at 50, say, I have progressed to 80, but from what I've read from other MFP members posts, free form and free weights are more effective. This post is my attempt to gather more information so that I can plan…

Hell yes, you should wear them! Daisy dukes are a great NSV. My inner Southerner approves.
-
Bahahaha great title and point made! You look strong and beautiful. Great job.

I'm 5'9.5" and got to 174. I thought my goal weight was to get back to 135 lbs, but weight lifting has made my body significantly more slender at 155 then it's been before. I'm thinking I may just see what 145 looks like.
