I was able to job .5 miles. May not seem like much but two and a half weeks ago I was gasping for air at .1 miles.

Count me in. I am doing the same thing. I walk about 15 miles a week and am increasing the amount I jog. I am up to one mile of jogging to four miles of walking. I too want to do a 5K. Love motivation. Need all I can get.

I work 12 hour shifts at night. I come home, clean up, lay down and am out. I only have so much time to sleep before the kids get home from school. Luckily I fall asleep quick. Sometimes I have to take Nyquil for my cough, I live in a valley and my allergies are terrible.

my average heart rate is about 141 and I have twice that amount to lose

My husband had knee surgery and they told him riding a bike was great therapy. But you must go to a bike store and get the appropriate bike. His short ride is about 30 miles and he has no knee complaints when riding. Good luck

I have oatmeal for breakfast at 5:00 a.m. When I get home, I go for a walk before going to bed. If I go to bed, I will never get up to exercise because I am way beyond tired.
